Topic: eating too much-
Hi. I had surgery on August 20th and am down 40 lbs since surgery and 53lbs including the 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I seem to be able to eat a lot- like almost 7 ozs. of chili or 4-5oz of steak in one sitting. I don't really feel full. I'm worried that my pouch is stretched too much! help! TJC

Topic: Three months out tomorrow!!
Hi everyone! Wow! Tomorrow marks the third month anniversary of my surgery! I can't believe it's been three months already! I'm feeling two things: I'm thankful that I am FINALLY past the problems I had with my esophagus, and I'm a little sad that it's this far out already and I missed so much of the first three months because of the suffering I went through. I sorta feel like I have been cheated out of some of the "honeymoon phase" because of the time lost to the esophagus restriction. A good share of the time I wasn't able to eat, I was stalled (for two weeks the first stall and three weeks the second stall). I'm just thankful that that part of it is over now. Onward and upward!! I've lost a total of 71 lbs now!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! I've gone from a size 22W (2X-3X depending on the clothes) down to a size 14 misses!! It's exciting to walk on past the plus size section now and know I'll never shop that section again. I go to my three month check-up with my whole team tomorrow. I'll see my surgeon, nutritionist, and nurse educator. I live 97 miles away from where they are so I don't see them often. It's going to be exciting to walk in there tomorrow in a size 14 and have them take a progress picture! I have a photocopy of my very first picture there at the Weight Management Clinic--OMG what an awful site! I have a note written at the bottom of it that says, "I WILL NEVERRRRRRR EVERRRRRR LOOK LIKE THIS AGAIN!!" My husband tells me everyday how wonderful I'm looking and how proud of me he is. He is such a supportive, wonderful man! I don't know if I could have gone through all this without him. This coming January 1st we'll celebrate our 14th anniversary. He's my knight in shining armor for sure! I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day!! Keep up the fabulous work, losers! I love you all! God bless! Brenda

All-time high: 262 Pre-op: 250 Surgery date: 8/29/07 Current: 212 Loss since surgery: 38 lbs I feel like I am losing kinda slow, but seeing everyone else's numbers, it seems like everyone is losing around the same. It's so good to know you're not alone. Maybe I just had crazy expectations of what I was going to lose after surgery.
