Hi Jennifer!
I was told that Flintstones aren't enough for adults, even in quantities above the dosage. I take Optisource chewables. The dosage is 1 4x a day. I take them with my meals and with one of my protein drinks. They are citrus flavored (orange to me) and are very easy to tolerate and are designed for post-op bariatric patients. You can order them online or buy them at Walgreens. Here is the link if you'd like to take a look.

I swear by these vitamins and I've never had any problems taking them at all. They were recommended by my surgeon.
God bless!

What vitamins are you taking?
I was taking 2 chewable centrum daily but finished the bottle, so I started taking my old one-a-day womens (2x) but I have trouble swallowing them now for some reason, and they frequently irritate my stomach.
So I went to buy more centrum (nasty) but decided to get flintstones chewable instead. Is anyone taking these, and how much?
Also, if you've tried vistavitamins or any of the bariatric advantage, what do you think?
Topic: RE: hairloss
yea, my hair loss has just started. What sucks for me is that mine is thin to begin with. Hopefully it is the stuff in the back and not in the front where it is real thin.
I look forward to the regrowth, they say it come in healthier.
Fingers crossed.

Biotin does not stop hair loss, nor curb it, It does However, help the new growth grow back stronger & Healthier. Some people try prenatal vitamins and says the xtra nutrients help slow hair loss but still not does prevent it. I had surgery aug.22 and have yet to lose any but I fear it will come sooner rather than later. Good Luck everyone..

Hi Michelle!
You and I had surgery the same day! I had my surgery August 2nd and am happy to say I'm down from starting weight of 254 lbs to 184 lbs. 70 lbs gone forever!
Welcome and best wishes in your journey!

I am losing hair, I've mainly noticed it in the past week or two. I don't have a lot to begin with so I hope it doesn't last too long. Since my first month was very traumatic with 2 surgeries and a lot of starvation, I'm expecting I'll lose a lot of hair. Its worth it though.
Other than getting your protein in, there's not much you can do. Biotin will help the new hair look better but won't prevent loss.
