Hi Everyone,
It was nice to hear from everyone last week.  Even a couple of new posters!  I was off work all last week and had a great week off.  Beautiful weather....actually went to the gym most days.  Lots of shopping and relaxation.   I had my three grandsons stay with me on Saturday night and I had forgotten how busy three little ones can be!  It was lots of fun though. I can even chase after them a little now.  I found it too difficult and exhausting before surgery.  I also went to my second gastric bypass support group meeting and it looks like it's going to be quite interesting.

Here goes for the stats...
Highest weight:  310
Surgery weight: 290
Present weight: 149.5 (goal)
This is up 1 1/2 lbs from last week but I've been up and down a couple of lbs for the last couple of weeks.  I'll be happy if I continue to maintain at this level.

Hope everyone has a great week.
Hugs Fran

Hi Fran!  Glad to see you.  You are doing great on your weight loss.  You should be very very proud.  I am still seesawing between 122-125.  I started a new job today, so we are kind of in shock around here.  The kids are used to me being at their disposal.  It is good for me to get out of this house.  I think, I worry, I eat lol.  It is just 30 hrs. a week, M-F 8-5, so not too bad.  With the economy the way it is, I thought I better get a job while I still can.    We need the moola too.  My tummy is sore...I am still swollen but he said I will be for months.  It hurts mostly above the belly button.  Other ladies I have talked to say they are still sore a year out after TT.  So, I hope mine does not go that long.  You take good care of yourself.  You are AWESOME!  Much love to all...Kathleen

Hi Fran, Kathleen and all newbies, oldies (not age-wise!! lol)--

It's been a pretty good week so far...but then...it's only Monday!! LOL.

I'm weighing 140 right now--130s here I come!!

I'm glad to hear that you had a fantastic week off last week, Fran--YOU DESERVE IT!  I know what you mean about being able to do more without feeling like death is calling!  It feels great to feel like doing things I've never wanted to do before, doesn't it?  Keep up the GREAT work, lovely lady--YOU'RE AWESOME!!

Howdy Kath!  I can't imagine being sore and swollen for up to a year...yikes!!  But, it's still got to be better than packing around the extra skin, right?  You'll do great and just look how BEAUTIFUL you are!!  Congrats on your new job!!  How do you like it so far?  Are you enjoying being out of the house?

You BOTH inspire me daily--that will never change.  Whenever I get to feeling down or blue, I think of you two and it makes my day :)  You both know how to keep the spirits up and the motivation towards success fresh!  I love you both!!

School is a challenge and at this point I've got a B in two of my classes.  I'm about to PANIC.  I don't do B's!!  I'll pull them up to straight A's ..just gonna take some extra hard work.  Hard work never killed anyone and I'm not about to be the first LOL.

Take care and you guys have a GREAT week!!

Love ya bunches!!

Bren

Hi everyone, I am one of the newbies.

Struggling most of the time lately.

Sunday I went on a hike. It was pretty hard. That just tells me I am not working hard enough because it should have been easier. It was about 10 miles at least 4 of that was up hill. Check out the picture in my profile.

Any way I did lose 3lbs thanks to that hike, now if I can finish the week with success.

Surgery weight 267
current weight 167
lowest weight 163
Goal weight 155

Hello again,
Kathleen congrats on  the new job.  You are doing great. Sorry to hear that you are still sore though.  I didn't think the pain would last that long but I guess it's a really major operation...a lot more cutting than lap  rny.
Brenda,  B's are great.  You have so much on your plate you need to give yourself a break.
Lisa,  Welcome to the August Losers.  I checked out your pictures....incredible.  You look great.  I can't believe the places you hike to....beautiful.  Where were they.  The hill on your last hike looked challenging...not wonder you lost 3 lbs this week!
