She didn't recognize me!

So here I am, with my husband in Walmart....this familiar voice passes right by us..says "hi" and walks past..... It was one of my best friends that I haven't seen since October...SHE DIDN'T RECOGNIZE ME!! I hollered after her....."Glendaaaaaaa...aren't you gonna even say hello?!" She whips around....and walks back towards me with a puzzled look on her face....... "OHHHHH MYYYYYYY GEEEEEEZZZZZZZ!! Brenda is that youuuuuu??????!!!!!!" LOL!! She was floored. She kept saying throughout the conversation...."you just don't look remotely the same!" It's moments like this that make us (on the vanity side of this) know we did the right thing. Anyone else have a moment like this? Love you alllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!! Brenda

Three weeks ago I went to my cousin's going away party. My kids were standing next to me when one of my aunts walks in. She say****o the kids, points to me, looks at my kids and says, "who's this?". I looked at her in shock and said, "Aunt Sally, it's me, Kendra". Her mouth hit the floor.

Awesome, Brenda! I saw my prior secretary about 2 wks ago. She moved away in December and came back for a visit. I was to meet her at a nearby restaurant. I walked in and she didn't recognize me. In all fairness, I had cut my hair and changed the color with highlights. Later that week she sent me an e-mail telling me I looked "flipping amazing" and that had she watched me cross the parking lot as she thought that was my car but then when I got out she didn't think it was me. It was a great feeling.

One of the doctors I work with did a double take today. He hasn't been on our unit for a few months. The funny thing is I have seen him a couple of times this week and he didn't say anything to me. Today he came over to me amazed. He hadn't realised it was me! It feels good but sometimes I wish that I didn't get all the comments. I'm glad I am no longer obese but I can't wait for the day that this is the normal me and not the new me.
