Memorial Day

I wish all of you the best and most relaxing Memorial Day! Remembering lost loved ones is always bittersweet but is so important. I think of how proud our parents (those of us who've lost parents) would be if they were here to see us now! I know my dad would be sooooo proud and happy! He and I would be doing LOTS of fishing this summer if he were alive. I still miss him every single day even after having lost him over 12 years ago. It never goes away--the feeling of loss--we just learn to live with it. I also want to say a great big THANK YOU to our servicemen/women who are putting their lives on the line for our freedoms as well as freedoms for those not in our country! YOU ARE HEROES! And to your families.......May God bless you and keep you in the palm of His wonderful hand for all the support you give your family members in the service. Thank you, my friend! I hope you had a wonderful, restful, peaceful day. This Memorial Day has been hard for me, with my hubby being deployed and my daughter and her issues. By the Grace of God, HE got me through yet another holiday without my husband. Only a few left to go now. I try not to be selfish and blue, but it is difficult. He is so lonely over there. It breaks my heart to hear him broken. BUT, we will get through this one sunset at a time. Have a great week Brenda and Fran and everyone else too!
