Kathleen--- You, my friend, are a half a dozen pounds from your goal.....six pounds! Do you remember when you were just starting this journey? I remember how it seemed like FOREVERRRRRR until surgery and then it seemed foreverrrrrrr until solid food, and foreverrrrrrrrrr until goal.....now look....you're six pounds away...what an incredible feat! I'm as proud of you and Tia as I've ever been of anyone! It doesn't take a meeting in person to know you love and look up to people who are in your daily life from afar. I just know that you two have almost reached an incredibly wonderful goal--I'd LOVE to see the pride in your moms' eyes! I just know they are soooo proud--wherever they might be at this moment! Keep the journey alive and rollin'!! I can't wait to see where it takes us next! Love you bunchessssss!! Brenda

You're very welcome, Tia! I struggling with the last 20-25 lbs but I know I'd much rather ALWAYS struggle with THIS end of the weight scale challenge than the end we all started from, that's for sure! I think being soooo close to goal is just the greatest! You and Kathleen truly inspire me to keep pushing to reach my goal. I know I'll do it! I'm not going to let myself give up. Even if it takes me another year to reach goal, I'll make it! Just think, Tia, it wasn't that long ago you reached onederland, and now you're the one pound pounder to that goal! YOU GO GIRL! You look truly amazing! Hugsssssss Brenda

Dear All, You know, when I falter, (which is every stinking day) I read posts like this and remember it IS within reach. I too have been green with envy over Tia's loss - then I started using her as an inspiration to keep plugging along. As she and Brenda have reminded me, everyone is different; everyone loses at their own rate. I have gained this last week for the very first time ever, but, I deserved to gain!!! I was not following the plan, I was eating way too many carbs and HORROR of HORRORS did not exercise ONCE. So, I blew the candles out on the cake at my pity party, and got walking. I'd love to say "shizaaam", I lost the 3 lbs, but I have some hard work ahead, and it's going to take more than one day to get back on track. I do sincerely agree, Tia, Kathleen, Brenda - you are all amazing, WE ALL ARE for having the initial courage to begin this journey and continue no matter what rate we "travel" towards our individual goals. Please accept my sincerest congratulations and back pats!!! Thank you for your honesty and hard work, and for sharing so that we can have something to guide us.

Thanks so much for the kind words, and support. I REALLY REALLY appreciate it. My hubby is deployed, and I am going through alot of stuff with my daughter and Grandbaby now. She gave me Guardianship of the baby yesterday, so that is a good thing. I never expected to be raising a baby now, again, since my youngest is five, but I will do it for the baby. This surgery is another thing to deal with, and it is such a blessing to have you all to talk to. I cannot tell you how much it helps, and I appreciate each and every one of you so much. You are all awesome, brave, beautiful people! I would be a nut without having you all to talk to. Well more of a nut anyway lol. Have a wonderful day, and remember, we have to eat to live, not live to eat!

Tara! Hi beautiful! I've missed you! I know you post once in awhile...and I always enjoy hearing from you! You are suffering much of the same thing many of us that are 9 months out from surgery are. That's why it's so great to be able to come here and voice our fears, triumphs, set-backs, wow moments and all that goes along with this journey. You are not alone...we're right here with you! I've noticed one thing in the midst of all the stressful times lately....I'm feeling like I did before surgery (when I'd have a diet set-back or failure) but not all the time. I DO feel different this time. We have a permanent tool that will ALWAYS work for us. All we need to do is go back to what our surgeons and nutritionists (and the whole team) have told us. One of those things is..."the operation happens on your intestinal system, NOT YOUR BRAIN." We still tend to think like a heavy person who is stuck in our failures. Here's the good news..... WE'RE NOT THOSE PEOPLE ANYMORE! WOOOHOOOO!! We're capable, beautiful people with minds stronger than most! I mean, just look what we've been through and where we came from! We've all made SUCH PROGRESS!! We're all getting closer and closer to our weight loss goals, we're eating healthier and exercising more ....we're doing more than we've EVER done!! A few set-backs can't take our successes away from us! We've come too far! In looking back at my "before" pictures.....even though I might be smiling in some of them, I was MISERABLE. I felt that I had NO OPTIONS for a better, healthier life at that point. LOOK AT ME NOW!! Whenever I get really down (or am PMSing) I think back to how I felt when I was at my heaviest....and then I look in the mirror and see this new bright, bubbly, smiling face and thinner body and I realize no set-back is ever permanent.....WE CAN MAKE IT THROUGH THEM! And what's more and better is....we can make it through them TOGETHER. I love you alllll soooooo much! *tears* Brenda
