Good to hear from you Jason. Welcome to the August board and congratulations on your incredible weight loss! I too am finding this requires more self control the further out I get. I worry every day that I might let my craving to eat (not true hunger, just wanting to eat) get the best of me. I hope I don't lose that fear.....what else would keep me from regaining? Eating out is a big problem for me....I eat too much and don't always make the best choices. For that reason, I try to avoid eating out now although it has always been one of my great pleasures. I also have to keep all foods I have a weakness for out of the house....for example, the little 100 cal packs of snacks might work for some people but, I can open 2,3,4 packs as easily as I can open one! I may have to wait a short while between servings because of my pouch but they will be calling my name as long as they are in the house. I am a weak person but getting stronger and still losing weight! Donna Kay

Hello and welcome to our little corner of the world! Congrats on your awesome weight loss! I had my surgery 8/17 and have dropped 140 lbs. AND yes, my urges are coming back lol. I just try to drink water alot, and get my protein in first at every meal. My body seems to be settling in at about 140-145 now, so after I get my plastics I should be in the 130s which is awesome for me. I try to snack on a cup of Cheerios (only 100 cal) or Frosted Mini Wheats (good fiber and protein believe it or not) when I get the crunchies. I do not handle sugar well at all, so that is good I guess. Best of luck to you, and be sure to come back and share with us your experiences. Remember, we are all in this together and we all understand what eachother is going through. This is an awesome awesome site, and as you can see, I post alot getting advise from all these good people. So, again, WELCOME you big LOSER! :}

Ohhh I am so glad you decided to join us! We need a man around! lol We had one but he disappeared. You are doing so great. I am having cravings a lot too. Mostly for M&M's. They are my weakness. They never taste as good as they look though. I am 3 pounds from goal so I am trying to remember that every time I reach for a snack. I also notice i can eat more. I was having a hard time getting more than 2 ounces in up until a couple of weeks ago and then it was like my stomach just opened up and I'm able to eat 4-5 ounces now!! Its a scary feeling for me!! I hope you are able to find something to curb your cravings.

Hi Jason! Welcome to the losers bench! It's great to have a man back among us again! Waaaaaaaay to go on your AWESOME weight loss!! You and I had our surgeries one day apart. I had mine on August 2. You look great! I'm starting to be more lax with eating now too....scary isn't it? I know we can all keep up the great work, though. It's just going to be a bit more of a struggle now. I know I'm not going to let myself gain it back. No food is that important to me anymore. And I also know we're the greatest losing team ever! WE'RE ALL AWESOME!! Welcome, Jason it's great to have you among us! AUGUST SURGERY LOSERS ROCK!!!! Brenda

Hi Jason, I found this group late too. It's great to talk to a bunch of people who are at the same stage as you. It's incredible how alike we all really seem to be. I actually read your blog after a post you put on the main board last week. You are an inspiration to many people....probably more than you know. I am also at the stage where I feel like I can eat anything. I have had high fat and sugar and don't dump on anything. Believe it or not that was a little bit of a disappointment to me because I know I have trouble restricting my intake and I was hoping I would have that to deter me. I have managed to change many of my bad habits in the last eight months though. Eating out and high fat foods were my biggest downfall. I still struggle everyday to stay away from the junk food. I prefer to keep it entirely out of the house like Donna or I will eat it for sure. I really like the weekly weigh in. It keeps me on my toes. Fran

Welcome Jason! I didn't find this site until Feb. I am so glad I did. Everyone is amazing here. I too am finding it easy to eat now. I catch myself eating when i know I am not hungry. What is up with that! Isn't that what got me in this to begin with... I am able to eat more and more and I am having to really be careful. I am so scared I will gain my weight back.. I am so glad to know I am not the only one that has been going through the munchies and worries of over eating.
