coffee & weight loss
I never drank coffee before surgery and now LOVE it. I drink about 4 LARGE cups a day.... I also drink 80oz of water a day.
Has anyone seen that drinking coffee slows their weight loss? I drink both decaf and caf. I use ALOT of Splenda and low fat/low cal creamer. I worry about the calories in the creamer though.....I try to add it in my cal. count for the day.
Your thoughts?
Thanks,
Tamara

I'm thinking there's something to this loving coffee after surgery thing, LOL. I, too, have found that I like coffee much better now than before surgery. I have a teeny tiny coffee maker that I use so I can make decaf. My husband is a "leaded" coffee drinker and I don't want to put that much caffeine in my body. I think that comes from the fact that I know caffeine is an appetite stimulant and I'm afraid to go there. I do have a cup of regular coffee once in awhile, but strangely, it doesn't taste any different to me, so I think I'll stick with decaf to be on the safe side. My MOST favorite part of coffee is the smell. For some reason, coffee never smelled this good before surgery LOL.
Creamer......now that's my downfall. I LOVE all the flavors of creamer and there are only a few that are sugar free or fat free. I still buy my favorites even if not sugar or fat free. I figure with only drinking one cup now and then, it's not gonna hurt me too much. I hope I'm right. Most creamers are 15-25 calories per serving. EEKSSS. Sooo easy to fall back, I see that in just reading what I just typed. This is one luxury I question. LOL.
