Hair is coming back but....
now I have horrible, big, black circles under my eyes.
Anyone else?
My stylist, whose mother has been through the surgery and has a few other clients who have done it as well, told me a few months ago that when the hair started coming back it would look like split ends. I'm glad she told me because my first thought was, "OMG now it's breaking off!"
No, but it's growing straight up and I look like Alf-alfa! I have super curly hair so it's very fine, kinky and sticking straight up.
Thank goodness it's coming back a little at a time and not all at once!
But this week I've noticed something else. I have horrible dark circles under my eyes. I look very haggard even with a thick coat of Mac concealer.
EeeK!
I've also started to get a little of the hanging skin, especially in the bra area and belly area.
TT here I come.
I'm not complaining, this is still the best thing I've EVER done but now I'm seeing some of the not so good stuff I'm going to have to figure out how to deal with.
I haven't seen a thing about dark circles and ps looks SCARY!

I get the dark circles and sunken face look sometimes - being well hydrated and some extra sleep seems to help me the best, but most RNY patients go through a period where they look like death warmed over - it pretty common. My hair is also growing back and sticking straight up. The ones in front are the worst!
I have been concerned about the circle under my eyes for months. That was the first thing I noticed after I lost a big amount of weight at month 3. Today I was thinking that it looks like I have circles that show where my skull bone isn't supporting my eye area. Like you could cut around the circle near my eyes to get to my skull - ugh. I hope it gets better. I asked my Dermatolgist about it. She said it is normal aging process to have these circles. She recommended a cream that was sold in her office "Remergent" and age retaliator serum microcirculation therapy. I assume a good salon or doctors office will have it. Or you can goggle the brand name Remergent to see if you can purchase it on line. The tube I bought was $74.00 it is suppose to last three months. She said it would take about four weeks to notice the new skin repairing the skin around the eyes. It looks better, but nothing like when I was younger. I think that I am turning into one of the vain people, I want plastic surgery on my stomach and my face now.
