Please don't be down about this just yet. See what your doctor has to say. Remember this is something that can be controlled unlike your weight which wasn't controllable before the surgery.

My doctor said at my 6 month check up that it's not like it's over, our bodies are STILL adjusting and will be for another year! So even if you do have something going on that doesn't mean it's permanent. You can't freak out over what a friend said, you have to ask your doctor about it. It sounds way too soon to panic!

I am diabetic. I am on no meds now. But I do experience low blood sugars now. You do feel shakey and like you are starving when it happens. You might want to see if orange juice or some peanut butter will calm it down. Those are the 2 things that have worked best for me.

Hey ! So I've had low blood sugar since I was a little kid and after the surgery it stoped for about 3 months. I am six months out and I have kept my hypoglicemia under check most of the time and here's the secret... eat every 2-3 hours. I am the queen of protein shakes and bars. Not only do I get the required protein intake, but they also have just enough sugar to keep me from these episodes. Another thing that seems to trigger mine is having too much sugar at any point of the day. Within a few hours of having too much sugar I feel hypoglicemia coming. So try eating just enough every 2to3 hours to keep you straight. And please, be happy for what you've done as so many people would love to be on your place.
