How many calories are you all going for at 6months?
I was getting in about 800-1000 calories since surgery but doc wants me to increase a bit since I'm just about down to goal and still have several more months of malabsorption/honeymoon period to go so he's upped me to 1200 calories. It was kind of neat to have a doctor telling me to eat MORE after all these years of the opposite BUT.... that's not so easy with this tiny pouch!!! The weird thing is that I've been eating more since my appointment 2 weeks ago and my weight loss has not slowed down. I have pretty much consistently lost 2 pounds a week since surgery no matter what. I had one 2 week stall and that was it.

My numbers are almost the same as what Brandi mentioned above....my surgeon actually wants my cals at about 1200 at this point, but because I'm not a hardcore gym rat...I just walk for my exercise, I keep it at about 1000 and have been losing steadily....I even go up to 1100 to break any stalls...lol...go figure huh? MORE calories to LOSE!? blasphemy!!!

LOL, Becca...
So true! It's so weird. There are days I just have no appetite at all and struggle to eat and only end up getting 600 to 700 calories in per day and the next morning my weight actually increases (like 2 pounds!!) from the morning before. It's just so freakin' weird!!! When's the last time we had to hear, "Eat MORE!"
LMAO,

When I last saw my dietician at 4 months post-op she said I should be eating between 600-800 calories at this point. I usually eat between 800-1000 but I workout everyday and burn 350-450 calories doing that so my net calories are 350-450 a day. I've been losing steadily at 3 lbs. per week average since surgery. My next appt. with the dietician is March 11th and I'll be interested to hear what she says at that point.
