Ok i have read most of the forums with the protein ?'s in them...an im finding it STILL hard to get in protein! My problem is i am SOOO picky when it comes to food that im not open to alot of things cuz i can NOT force myself to eat them. I must get in atleast 30g a day and that is ONLY because i eat a 21g snickers protein bar....anyone have any ideas that are HIGH in protein an yet only a small amount of sumthing so i dont have to wanna throw up as im eating a bigger portion......
Im having a TON of hair loss despite the biotin im takig.....its REALLLLLLLY starting to worry me....they sed it would stop after 3months but im going on 6months an its not getting ANY better....HELP!
I usually do a protein shake in the morning for breakfast I use Designer Whey chocolate flavor I like it the best I mix it 1/2 skim milk and 1/2 water and lots of ice seems to go down really well and isn't thick which really helps.
As far as the hair loss you may want to ask your surgeon what he recommends you to take for that, my surgeon had me to take Zinc and biotin and it seems to be working but I also take GNC hair, skin and nails, not telling you to take these just saying that is what Ive been taking, ask your surgeon about it see if he will give you a helping hand.
I had to order some zinc lozenges because the dry zinc made me hurt soooooooooo bad so watch out for that.
Hope this helps a little.

Hello Jessica,
I lost most of my hair because I couldn't do the protein either(from about 4 feet of it to about 4 inches). I finally bought UNJURY chicken soup after trying about $430.00 worth of shakes that made me wanna barf. The chiken soup tastes just like cup of soup type broth. It does kinda smell at first, but it is good and thin and not even close to the shake stuff. It is the only protein drink I can handle. If you go to their site unjury.com they will sell you ONE sample instead of buying a huge amount. And they ship it right out. It has about the same of the bars you are eating, but may be a good alternative for you. Good luck honey.

Hi, I found gnc protien whey products to be very tastey. They have banana, mixed berry, orange, chocolate, strawberry. I mix 1 scoop with 1% milk and use a small mini mixer to mix it. It gives the drink a shake texture and is very good. You can also put in ice ,fruit and yogart make a smoothie. If you do that you get even more protien.

When u mix the shakes...meaning puting the protein powder in milk or ice or yogurt....is anyone having a hard time drinking the WHOLE portion?! because when u even put a yogurt in the blender with some ice it just makes SOO much that i cant even finish half of it! meaning im not getting the appropriate protein regardless. :(
I NEVER thought it would be this hard squeezing something as easy as PROTEIN into my diet. i am SO focused now on figuring a way to eat protein that i dont even enjoy the fact that im NEVER hungry. i jus tell myself "what am i going to have that has protein in it" am i the only one who does that?! b/c my nutritionist seems to think i can just shove anything i want in my mouth and deal with it.....
Hi Jessica!
First, I want to tell you that you're doing great!! I also wanted to tell you that it's ok if it takes you a good long while to drink a protein drink. You don't have to drink it down in a few minutes. Take as long as you need. We are supposed to take in LOTS of fluids during the day and our protein drinks/smoothies/shakes are all counted as part of those fluids. So, if you just set it aside and drink it when you feel up to it, it's ok .
As for making everything you eat protein related, yes I have definitely been prone to do that. But I'm finding that I NEED to eat other things too. If I don't get enough fruits, vegies, and fiber (which is often) then I get extremely constipated. I've been dealing with constipation for the past 2 1/2 months. I hope it's not permanent. I was told that with the tremendous amount of protein we're taking in, we also need to get fiber and even be on a stool softener to keep us poopin'.
Good luck and GREAT JOB!!
God bless!!
