WOW Moments...
So what have been your wow moments so far.
By far, my best wow moment has been (TMI alert, LOL) to be able to insert a tampon while still sitting on the toilet. I used to have to stand up and put my foot on the toilet seat so I could reach. I couldn't reach while sitting. I can now! I did it without thinking one day and almost started crying. LOL
TMI again...I can also wipe my rear-end so much easier. I can reach so much better. This is a great improvement!
I can take a walk and take a pretty brisk walk without getting winded. I'm loving this!
It's also so cool to hug my husband and hear him say, "wow, you're getting so tiny." I enjoy that comment so much even if I do still have 100 pounds to go!
I think my biggest wow moment was when my husband walked into the bathroom when I was just getting out of the shower and said, "Ohhhh wow!! you're melting!! I can't BELIEVE how small you got overnight!" I felt soooooo good when he said that to me!
I also remember moving from plus sized clothing into misses sizes. I went to try on some pants (had slimmed out of all the ones I had) and thought I'd go with a size 18 misses. I pulled those jeans on and WOW they HUNG on me! I had to call my husband to the dressing room and ask him to go get a size 16 for me! When he brought it back to the dressing room he was grinning from ear to ear. I truly did NOT realize just how much weight I'd lost and how my body shape had changed!
I also love being able to tie my shoes without turning blue! LOL!

**from blog**
I had a sort of "wow" moment last night...my husband came home with a surprise bag of new clothes for me! (he went shopping for me on his lunch break!!)...
**Now, this would have terrified me before, knowing that he would expect me to try it on for him to see**...
I've always carried my weight well, but my husband never really had any concept of how big I really was...so sizes just never worked out so well when he shopped...I would exchange them the next day for bigger sizes so he would never feel bad!
BUT THIS TIME, he once again eyeballed the things he liked, and I was even shocked that everything he picked fit...not tight, not stretched, it really fit!!
I am just thrilled because he didn't even cheat and check my closet...everything in it is big or baggy or requires a belt and a prayer to stay on correctly!!!
So for the first time, I was able to just put on the outfits he picked, and walk out into the room looking fabulous!!! I'm happy to say that my husband will now be doing much more shopping for me...thank god we have the same taste...I'm really looking forward to the next big wow!
This is my best wow moment so far!
I have to start by saying I don't normally post stuff like this. However, I soooo look forward to reading other people's wow moments. But, this one was too good not to share.
When I graduated from college (10 years ago) I was wearing a size 8/10. I had started my first real job and had to go out a buy a bunch of suits. Over the years the suits have gotten bigger, with my favorite suit coming in at size 14 (but very very tight). I really should have been wearing a 16, but I just didn't want to spend that much money on a suit that I would hopefully not have to wear for long.
So, yesterday I had a job interview and I pull out my favorite suit, which is the size 14. I've lost some weight so I was looking forward to having it fit me properly. You can imagine my surprise when the pants slipped right off of me!! Now I was stressing because I didn't have a back-up plan. It never occured to me that my suit wouldn't fit me. I dug to the back of the closet and pulled out my black Ann Taylor suit from back in the day. The jacket was an 8P and the pants were a 10P (i've always had a big butt!). Can you believe they both fit perfectly!!! I was so excited!! I told my roommate that I was going to land this job because I was wearing a new "good luck" suit. It was so exciting for me to actually wear something that I hadn't worn in so long that classified as "my skinny clothes".
I swear I'm going to hug my surgeon at my next appt!
And by the way...I got the job!!
My wow moment is also probably TMI , but oh well.
Its making love without having to shift the fat so my hubby doesn't inadvertyantly grab a handful. Its so nice to "know" that he is slowly touching down the hip or thigh and feeling hip bone and muscle instead of a bakerys worth of rolls.
Sorry, but it means so much to me really.
**I don't need a bra back extender anymore....oh and I actually have to use the third set of clasps.... I thought they just put those there to make people feel bad about their selves.
**I can have sex for an hour without getting winded.
**My favorite of all.....I can wrap a towel all the way around me and have a good 6 inches left!!!!!!
