Blood work
Hi Ruth!
My first set came back all normal, and that was during the time I wasn't able to eat much because of my esophagus being restricted. I just worked really hard at making sure the food I WAS able to get down was protein. I also never missed my vitamins and supplements.
I just had my three month check-up today! I will know the results of those tests sometime next week. I got a clean bill of health from my surgeon, nutritionist and my nurse educator.
During this process I've exercised on a regular basis and it's proven to be a very wise decision. My lean body mass has not dropped much at all even with all the eating problems I had between week 2 and week 9. What they all told me today is that I've lost loads of fat and very little lean muscle mass. WOOOOHOOOOO!! I guess I'll keep doing what I'm doing and life will be good. LOL.
Keep us posted on your results ok?
God bless!

I just had 12 tubes of blood drawn yesterday and should have this results this coming week. I'm definitely curious to see the numbers, especially cholesterol because I was borderline high before.
I hear about everyone having blood work at least 3 mo post op but my doc wants me to have bloodwork 6 month post op. I had some bloodwork on tuesday for potassium levels for my OB related to new birth control pill. So i am a little concerned although I check my sugars at home and they are low. so I will go in Jan for bloodwork.
