how much do you consume in a day?

I was just curious.... How much food do you consume per meal in a day. I mean like how many ounces for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Could it all fit on one plate? Isn't it odd how before we could not have made it on such portions?

Good Morning Ruth, as for me I'm only eating 1/4 to1/3 cup of food per meal.. Breakfast, most day I have cream of wheat, once a week, some egg and bacon.. lunch alittle of whatever I find from yesterdays dinner. Dinner a piece of fish has been the easyest for me so far, sometimes I can do chicken, and a shall amount of veggies.. sometimes I wonder if I shouldent try and eat more, since I seem to be losing slow! I very rarley have a snack, since I'm not hungery.. And yes it all fits on one plate, right in the center, not anything like what my plate use to look like.. lol.. And sometimes I dont even finish what I serve myself..

It really depends on the food - the more liquidy it is the more I can eat. If its something dense like meat or cheese - at most I can fit about 2oz (1/4c). If its less dense, like milk, soup, fruit or hot cereal - 4-8oz. And then sometimes stuff just fits better than others. I usually just track calories and protein instead and its 600-900 per day. And yes the amount I eat daily now would have easily only been one meal before.
