Hey roomies. Sorry I wasn't on this weekend but took a trip to Laughlin. Boy do I have a "fun" moment to share. It is a 5 hour drive from my house to Laughlin and of course we hit the road and I being the smart one, figured we could just stop at KFC and I could grab some mashed potatoes for din din. That would have worked had I just kept my grubby paws off the small chicken piece with Honey BBQ sauce on it. My friend was having the bite size popcorn chicken with BBQ sauce. I've had a piece before (but without the sauce). Of course I didn't feel too good afterwards but we hit the road. By the way, there is nothing from this city we stopped in (Wickenburg) for about 2 hours. Sure enough, in the pitch black of the night my tummy was not a happy camper. Foamies here I come.... Yep, try heading down the highway with a bad case of foamies and ending with it all coming back up. When I felt better about 45 min later, I realize that the honey bbq sauce probably had a little more sugar or something in it that did not agree with me. (ya think? LOL) Oh well, I still had a great weekend. I'll catch up tomorrow on all the posts......But thought I'd share this "fun" WLS moment.

Yea, i think we each will have these moments where something out of the blue causes us to have this kind of fun. LOL Hopefully others will share their "fun" moments so we all can have a good laugh. (even though it sure isn't fun at the time)

Last night my partner fixed pork chops. Well, I haven't eaten pork yet and (don't tell her I said this) she makes the driest pork chops in the world. But, of course, I said I would try them. Oh so not a good idea! Foamies and yakking big time for about an hour. She was so traumatized that she said she never wants to look at a pork chop again. I think if I do try them again, I'll cook 'em. ;)

Ohhhhhhhh I can soooooo relate!! I have had TWO esophagus dilation (endoscopy) procedures done now. My last one was this past Tuesday (Oct 9th). Eating before these procedures was PURE misery! I couldn't even ge****er down sometimes! In my whole 42 year life, I've NEVER dreaded eating like I do now. It's a bit better since the procedures, but now I'm gun shy. And when I do eat nothing tastes good. SIGHHHHHHH. This, too, shall pass. Patience is NOT one of my better virtues. LOL. My advice as far as meats to eat goes is, STAY AWAY FROM PORK CHOPS. They just don't seem to go down good for the most part. They are better if they are steamed for a few minutes after having been baked or fried though. Good luck!! Brenda
