How long should you wait for alcohol?

I'm almost a month out and I want a drink but I'm afraid. Has anyone had a alcoholic beverage and if so, how soon and what was it. Thank you Luchianna

My nut, and doctor. Told me no alcoholic beverage.. Your system is not the same anymore, and you wont be able to drink as you did before!! My self I dont think its a good idia, expecially this early in the game.. Maybe you should give your nut a call!! Good luck!!! Edna

Your not purpose to drink after this surgery. But my doctor said one year after surgery and then some people say 9 months. I have been told that when you drink a glass of wine it will make you drunk and beer is a bad idea. Cardinated So I plan to wait a long while before I have a drink. not saying I don't want one but I will wait.

My NUT said dont do it but if you must on a special occasion, wait 6 mos. Its very hard, I would love a glass of wine (no more, just one glass) but will wait it out. Maya
