left pain in abdomen area, like a pulled muscle
I was given a hand out by my surgeon's office telling me to expect this exact pain 9described as pulling or tightening sentation) anywhere from 1-6 weeks out. That is where most the work is done left side & has it heals it "pulls" a little. The hand out also said either a binder or tight-ish griddle would alievate most of that pain, but regardless it would go away on it's own. (Hope that helps)
Oh gosh YES! I did it twice really bad (turning over in bed) and the first time I had cramps everytime I swallowed something cold but, 24 hrs. later, it was like it never happened. I had my RNY on 7/23 and I feel like nothing ever happened (surgery-wise). If it wasn't for the smaller stomach I'd swear nothing took place! Hang in there!

Yes I absolutley have I am 3 weeks out and still feel bruised inside. The frist two weeks were hard but this week seem sto be much better, i am walking daily now and have more energy.
My stomach is still really swollen too so I know my measurents will go down with that as well.
I decided to keep measurements as well as my weight loss and I am glas I did. Overall in 3 weeks I have lost 24lbs and 5 inches all over to date.
Hang in there the pain will get better I promise. If you get a fever however call the doc immediately.
