First Consult is Today!!!!

I am so excited!!! Today is my first consult with Dr. Cohen here in Hollywood, FL. They are saying that we do not receive our surgery date today, but on the 2nd or 3rd session. I am going to see if I can talk them into scheduling something, as I have to submit my holiday schedule now for work. I would LOVE to walk out with a date, but this might just be wishful thinking. I have to go through a 3 month supervised diet (this will be with Dr. Cohen!) and then I'm set to go. That will give me 3 months to get all of my stuff together. My policy is so great that apparently they don't even ask for a letter of neccessity as long as my BMI is above 40! So I should have no problem getting approved after the 3 month diet. Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement with you!!! After many dissapointments and former insurance plan exclusions, this is actually the closest I've ever been to actually having my surgery!! 4 years of hoping and waiting. 4 years of crying and wishing. And now I'm actually starting everything! Kate
