2 days post op!!!
Hello. I was banded on the 15th by Dr. Spiegel at Tweleve Oaks Medical Center in Houston. I had an awesome experience & met 4 others banded by same doc on same day. We were walking the halls together on Thursday! I've taken the bandages off & taken a shower...I feel so much better. Would love to hear how others are doing. Can't wait to be on the losers bench!!
I'm so happy for you! I was banded on the 15th also. I thought I'd be doing as well as you are, and I'm not sure why I'm not. I was not up and walking the halls on Thursday..I did come home, but went to bed. I did get up and go to Lowes shopping on Saturday, but felt it yesterday. I'm wondering if the pain I have is normal or abnormal. At first I thought normal till I see how well you are doing. Are you in any pain? Your enthusiasm is great...it's exactly what I needed today. I'm so happy for you!! Did I say that already? Keep up the great work. You have motiviated me. I'm going to try and go for a walk.
Keep me posted on how you are doing!
Hi. Thanks for the response. I hope you are feeling better soon. I've not had any pain - I only took liquid tylonol twice at home. You may want to contact your doc since you are still having pain. I look at it as "better safe than sorry". Up until today I've been feeling great. I've walked 30 to 40 minutes per day & had 3 atkins shakes per day (though it takes me ALL day to finish them.). I went back to work yesterday & I think I may have overdone it. I woke up at 5 am, went to work feeling great, went from work to a Girl Scout service unit meeting which lasted until 9pm...didn't get on the treadmill until 9:45...got in bed about 11:15. I am totally wiped out today. I came to work a little late & am going to take things very slow today. I'm hoping I'll feel better tomorrow. Are you taking vitamins? My doc has me taking 2 flintstones complete & a chewable calcium. Keep in touch.
