Ok am I the only one on August 23rd?!

I am starting to think I am the only person having surgery on the 23rd, I haven't seen one yet! Just thought I would check in and see if anyone else is having surgery the same day as I am. I am having Rny on 8-23-07 with Dr. Frederick Johnson at the Unity hospital in Fridley, MN. It is at 7am so I have to be there at 5am and it is an hour+ drive!! So I will need to be up bright and early! Ok thanks to everyone out there that responds! I love this board!

Hi Kristi ..I am having surgery on 8/23. We will be joing the losers bench together. I went today and had my filter put in and it was a breeze. I pray the ryn goes that well also. Good Luck to you and be Blessed!

Thanks! I don't need to have a filter but glad to hear your's went well! I am so glad to see a few the same day as me! I also pray all goes well but I am not really afraid of the surgery itself! Just some of the yucky parts after...Good luck to you as well! Kristi

I am having surgery on the 23rd of August as well . I am having RNY as well. How are you doing? I have major surgery 8 years ago and I pray I don't have any problems with a lot of scar tissue. I don't know what time I have my surgery as of today. I will know tomorrow I have my pre-op appointment. You take care Edna

I am doing well thank you!! Yay another one with me!! I had a hysterectomy when I was 28(4 years ago) and I don't think that will interfere--at least I hope not! I know my time and everything so I am ready to go! I am actually quite excited, the only part that I am nervous or worried about is that my husband can't take time off. He has a seasonal job and days off don't happen so he will drop me off and than when I wake up my step daughter and my parents should be there! So at least I will have someone. I also worry about the anasthesia because in previous surgeries I am REALLY SLOOOOOOWWW to wake up and come out of it. So just praying that I am able to get out of the hospital right away!! I don't like them, and I work in one! LOL Well you take care too and talk to you more soon! Kristi

I am having surgery on the 23rd too. I am having the sleeve. I am very nervous, but know that it is for the good. Best of luck to you in a new chapter of your life.

Great another one!! I am glad to see that I am not the only one! I actually got past the nervous stage about a week ago. I know that I made an informed decision and it is the best thing for my health. So I have actually made peace with my decision and am ready to start the work of being a loser!!
