I have a surgery date.

I am scheduled for surgery on 8/17/07 at 11:30. I can hardly wait.

good luck, I'm before you on the 16th first in AM. I saw the surgeon today for final visit and any questions, I guess I'm really nervous now, just around the corner, but then the NEW ME WILL APPEAR, just like you to judy

Hi Judy, Thanks for the wishes. I wish you well on your surgery. Nerves must be the big thing once you see the doctor. I am now thinking about last meals that I don't need. I want, but I am not going to go there. Karen

Karen, I know where you're coming from, food has always been a big thing growing up, finsih everything on the plate was the speech I alway got from mom, so I did that too to my own kids and they to theirs, but you're right no more going there just to the future and the new healthier persons we will be . My secret to the Dr. today was I can't wait to shop in the store and buy what is on the rack and not have to look for the largest in size. What a pleasure that will be. good luck again judy

I'm right there with you guys Karen and Judith! My date is the 14th and I am VERY excited like you are! And yes Judy... can't wait to shop the NORMAL racks... the sale racks! Can't wait feel good and not be in pain when I take a walk around the block. Can't wait not to cringe when I see pictures of myself. I've already lost just about 2 sizes since I started the whole process and today I went through my closet and got ride of SIX bags of clothes that I KNOW I will never wear again. Boy did that feel good. AND I now have empty drawers and closet space for all the SMALLER clothes! -Marianne C.

Karen, Good luck to you. I know how nerve racking the waiting is . I am 4 days post-op and doing well...i have no regrets..i have faith in my doctor and i know that plays a big part.
