August 28th

After all of the hurry up and wait I finally got my insurance approval and surgery date for August 28th. Exciting but I'm trying to hold down the exuberance and focus on getting ready.

Congratulations, Tom! I know how excited you must feel, I hope all goes well with your surgery!

I'm sure that it will. Getting kind of nervous about it though facing the big day. I have to have a vena cava filter put in the day before to prevent pulomonary embolisms since I had a problem with that last year. It's kind of like the first day of the rest of my life. I'm sure you know what I mean. I have been doing a lot of research and reading on it so I'm pretty well prepared I believe. My surgeon does a hand assisted Laproscopic version for the RNY. Have you ever heard of that.
