August 3 for my Lap RNY!!!!

Everything has gone so fast for me. I guess this was in God's plan. My first consult with the surgeon was on June 1st. I have my pre-op physical, today. Blue Cross/Blue Shiled of Iowa has been great. I did have good documentation from years of dieting. I really think that helped as much as anything. Dr. David Strand from the Surgical Institute in Sioux Falls, SD is doing my surgery. I am very happy and just a little nervous about the anesthesia because I hate the feeling of not being in control. I have only had one other surgery, 13 years ago and that is what I remember. I don't have a lot of time for posting but am sure thankful for all of you who do. Thanks for all the advice and updates. You are such an encouragement. Hey we are surgery sisters!!! I am also having lap RNY on Friday. If I can just make it through this week of liquids I think I will be ok. They say with each day it gets easier. I hope those words of encouragment are right!!!LOL
