Topic: RE: Addicted to my scale....
Hi Danielle,
Your not alone! I weigh myself every morning right when I wake up. I don't do it through the day because then it of course fluctuates 1-2 lbs, but every day! I think daily is ok unlike what some will say because when I see any type of gain it keeps me in line to say "ok, better drink more water, or clean out a bit, eat better, etc".
I checked your pics.. WOW what a huge difference in your new look! My WLS was 8/1/06 and today I've lost -58 so far. Wonder if everyone in 8/06 surgery is close to that # or am I a slow looser?
Good luck!!

Sounds like you made a great choice. I love shrimp. Hubby is allergic so I can only get it when we go out.

My boyfriend and I went to Costco and we got some pizza and I ate some melted cheese off the top and I ended up running to the bathroom and dodging past some other customers to get to the toilet just in the nick of time. I get sick almost every day since my surgery, I do have an ulcer though which is healing. We will see what happens.

The first time I went out to eat after surgery I went to eat n park. I had the chili. I ordered a small cup and couldn't fini**** all.
I went bowling with my friends over the weekend and they ordered pizza and wings. I a the cheese off of one slice of pizza and had one hot wing drummette.

I was still on pureed foods the first time I went to a restaurant after surgery. I had chili, and asked for it to be more liquid than chunks, then I put a little sour cream in it. My husband finished the chunks for me.

I went out to dinner Friday night with my husband to a restaurant here in Martinez, FATZ... It was my fav before surgery... I had the grilled shrimp /vegie skewers and one stuffed mushroom... I was able to eat 5 grilled shrimp, 1/2 piece asparagus and 1/2 piece squash, and then a very small stuffed mushroom as an appetiser.. Not sure how to figure in the calories or whatever but the good news is nothing made me sick!!
Topic: RE: The scale moved!!!!!!!!
I know right..? I am so scared to not weigh but get so depressed when it not markedly lower than the previous time... I am getting lazy not wanting to go walking and stuff, I'm waiting on a loan to come in so I can buy my tread climber, i'm so excited about that... I wanted one for years...
Topic: RE: 9 weeks out...What are you guys eating? and whats a good protein bar
Hey, what is the name of the protein drink you buy at GNC? Worldwide? Have you tried the Isopure drinks? they look like Gatorade? 40g/20oz... they're really really good... We had surgery the same day, I didn't measure either, have lost 64 pounds as of thursday... I'm getting flaky on the exercise thing, I did get up and walk 30 mins today though... I woke up last night hungry and got some cheese... That scares me cause it seems like I might be heading back to the bingy thing... I really don't eat much at all during day, Yesterday I had two protein shakes, and a couple spoonfulls of chksalad from chic filet, and 1 tsp pb/on some soy crisps...., I need to reevaluate what I'm eating and when.

Hi all...
I also went to trader Joe's as well as GNC and I drink the Worldwide protein drinks
2 a day. Banana cream is my favorite. I find that i am able to eat steak without a problem at all and eat salad fine as well.
i don't know about inches, because i never really measured myself to begin with,
but I am down 50 lbs as of today and I am feeling well physically. I can't complain.
Glad to see everyone is doing well... Take care
