Topic: RE: 9 weeks out...What are you guys eating? and whats a good protein bar
I just had my 3 month appointment and was told I could eat anything. I was told that bread is a nutrition-free food and probably the source of some of my weight issues, so not adding bread is probably a good idea. I do not eat any protein bars or meal-replacements. I drink a lot of milk to get my protein and fluids in. Other than that, I eat just about anything. SuperTarget sells skewered, marinated meat (pork, beef, chicken). I'll make one of those and eat it over a couple of meals. I had tuna salad the other day. I'm loving sashimi (like sushi, but without the rice).

Who are these jerks you're spending time with? Sounds terrible. I'd tell off anyone who said not eating things that are bad for you is rude. What about a diabetic? Or someone with high cholestorol? Sounds like they are ignorant and insensitive. Same goes for your mom. I think you need to set up some boundries with her. If she's not going to be kind, then cut her off. You don't need that in your life. If you're old enough to decide to have surgery then you're old enough to make decisions without your mother's agreement or consent. You need to continue to take care of yourself by ridding yourself of these jerks, or standing up for yourself instead of taking these things to heart. They don't know what they are talking about.

Congradulations, Isn't it hard too believe that three months ago we would have never consider trying on a 14. Now they fit. It is the best feeling in the world.

Hello all...I just got back from my 3-month appointment. Had surgery on 08.10. My highest weight was 396 and as of today I am down to 324...so, 78 pounds. I hear that the heavier you were before surgery, the faster you loose. I am also eating no carbs, no sugar, high protein and working out 5 days a week. We have a gentleman at my work who was easily near 500 and had the surgery 3 months before me...we have lost almost the same amout of weight, so I am contributing my weight loss to all of my work outs and eating habits. I have started sunflower seeds without any problems.
