I went to my 3 month check up on Wednesday and I'm down 56 pounds! I started out at 285 and now I am 229. This has been really exciting. The nurse is very pleased with my eating habbits and my weight loss. I Have a great deal of blood work that I need to have done so I will get that done soon and hope that things are okay! I hope I can be close to 200 by the new year!

I usually eat a lot of healthy choice, smart ones, and lean cuisine meals. They are pretty good and usually have close to 20g of protein in them. It makes it easy to count calories, protein, and fat for me. I am too busy to do anything else right now. Lady T.

I know this is easier said than done, but try not to get discouraged or too frustrated. I know, I try not to get too down when I read that someone has lost close to 100 lbs by now and just remember that everyone's body is different and that the weight WILL come off as long as you stay focused and committed to your goals. If you can stand it, try one of those infamous protein trains. From what I've read, it really seems to help some people get past the plateaus. Another DS'er told me that "going back to the basics" (the liquid/soft foods post-surgery diet) helps the scale to move too. Hope this helps! Lady T.

63 lbs gone forever...BMI of 31 she the nurse said a BMI of 25 was normal for my height...and I am right on target...she said to utilize the first 6 months with exercise because it will be harder to lose after 6 months to one yr out....Happy Thanksgiving to all of you...
