Topic: RE: 5mths out!!!
I was 5 months on the 15th. As of today, I'm down 77 pounds.
As far as protein, I'm keeping it to fish, chicken and beans. Red meat and any ground meat is not going well at all. I also drink a lot of skim milk for protein. Sashimi (sushi without the rice) is usually pretty good for me.
Bread is starting to be OK, but I avoid it. I also avoid pasta and most rice. I will eat brown rice or wild rice if it's cooked really well. Tuna doesn't seem to be my friend unless I eat it raw.
Dumping seems to be pretty much over for me. I just got back from Hawaii had had no problem with pineapple or chocolate or fruity mixed drinks. Never a chocolate fan before, I'm hooked all of a sudden. Can't explain it.
I haven't started a workout program yet, but that's coming soon.
Thanks for this post!

Topic: RE: going for my 5th dilation
Oh good luck and hope this does the trick. I am going for my first one on Feb 1st. Finally someone listened when I complained this last time. I can only drink liquids and eat soft foods. No meats. Everyone kept telling me to be patient. But I knew something wasn't right. The good news is it will be done a week before my Disney vacation!! Maybe I will be able to eat something. The other good news is as of today I am down 100 lbs.
Please update after your procedure so we can know you are ok.

Topic: I am OVERWEIGHT
Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is doing great on their journey. We are coming up on the 6th month mark. Well yesterday I hit another milestone, I am just overweight. I am no longer obese and would no longer qualify for surgery. I know I am not losing as fast as some of you, but I am pleased with my progress. I think I was considered a lightweight when I started this journey just needing to lose a little over 100 lbs. To date I have lost 75 pounds and have gone from a snug fitting 24 shorts and 1 x tops to a size 16 pants (some 14's there is a big difference in size depending on brand) and to a medium - large top. I still hope to lose another 35 lbs, but they are coming off very slowly now.
Good luck and Best Wishes.

Topic: How is everyone?
I think my munchies are coming back....
Daily I have popcorn and my new addiction...Nabisco Oreo Thin Crisps (100 cal)
My head games are starting too I believe...Im sad one minute...happy as can be the next...etc...
And I catch myself staring at my before picture...like who is she and how did she get to that point....am I still her...will I fail at this and become her again?
The compliments are pouring in and the stares are getting on my nerves...why am I not happy at men staring..I mean they should be ashamed of themselves...
My hubby says Pam you should feel good....I said no it makes them seem like pigs to me...I mean when I was a Fat A$$ they didnt stare unless I was hidden in the car and when they did I would say....ha wait til I get outta here honey and you will feel silly for glancin my way...
Anyway...I feel crazy for not always being happy and feeling like a compliment...
oh well just didnt know if anyone elses Head Games have started yet?
Have you been stalking obese people praying they hear you tell someone you just had RNY? I pray they hear me and ask me about it...I just wanna run up to them and tell them how to save their lives...Im crazy I know...
Then Im looking in the mirror saying am I really a size 12...I recall 19 years ago when I thought that was big...now I feel its perfect, but I wonder if Im just seeing things or if I truly do look this size...
LORDY I sound crazy huh? Must be this yucky weather were having...Im in a mood!

I am 5 1/2 months and have lost 73lbs so far. Been at a stall for over a month now with maybe 1 lb a week. Track everything with www.fitday.com and my calories are between 350 and 900 (good and bad days lol)
Here is what I cant eat first: eggs, chicken and any milk products but cheese (due to surgery am now lactose intolerant) sugar and can only handle 1/4 piece of bread.
Here are my mainstay and favorites with asterisks: *shrimp,* all seafood, *steak, pork,*roast, LOVE brocolli, squash, stir fry vegetables with 2 tbs of rice, *chili, soy milk, and I found SF peanut butter and SF jelly. Love to have an apple with PB,cottage cheese and pineapple, *cream cheese and cheese sticks. I know when I post this I will think of others lol.
I drink 1 protein shake a day made of either strawberry white chocolate, vanilla cinnamon, vanilla ice cream and of course chocolate all from this site and many different flavors of their SF syrups for coffee and drinks. Water is a battle and I strive for at least 64oz.
Hope this helps,
Tanya

Girl- I am right there with you and found out from the other boards I am on that this is normal. But getting on that scale everyday and not seeing it move or bounce between the same 2 pounds is beyond frustration. They say the stall is normal for 5-6months and then suddenly you are back to losing again.
I am also a lightweight (never would have said that lol) I am 5'6 and started at 252 and today I was 179 and my goal is 140 and have lost 72lbs. I also get frustrated with others that are losing so much faster and are closer out but I have learned to be happy FOR them and thankful that I am here this year and not where I was last.
I have added protein, water and exercise and mixed it up to confuse my body- seems my body is smart LOL. I went from a 20 to a 12/14 and XL to a medium shirt- was in 2x scrubs and now the mediums are getting too big!!!! Should the number matter to me if I am in normal clothes and smaller sizes????
Hang tough- we are right there with ya!!!!

Nili,
I had my surgery on Aug. 28th and I'm down 50 lbs. I'm 5'7" and started at 240. Size 20-22 and 2X tops and now 14/16 and L and XL tops. It is frustrating but we'll get there - never fear!!!!

Yeah i know what you mean about some of the people losing so very much but it is like everyone else said when you dont have but a hundred pounds to lose it is a lot different than if you have 300 pounds to lose. I too was considered a (lightweight)HA
HA when i started i weighted 258 pounds and am 5'3" tall. Im still 5'3" tall but have gone down to 193 and gone from wearing a 22 to a size 10 in most things. So i dont have much to complain about really. I know it is only 65 pounds but i have lost 74 inches and still losing. it is slow but at least it is going down ....Never did that before .
I am not looking to get down to 100 pounds dont care what the scales read if i can just get down to size 7/8s i will be happy . That should be around 160 somewhere in there i would think maybe 150 and if that is so i only have about 30 more pounds to go so if that takes most of the summer i dont care. I know that when i have a tummy tuck it is going to reduce my size by at least one or two sizes. i have a lot of skin in that area that is hanging and in the way. dont know about the breast or anything other than i may have a face lift that is really bothering me all those wrinkles that i didnt have before. lol Jan
