Right now its -minus 11 below for our High temp...I love it when it gets really cold here....snow storms are my next favorite.....So glad to enjoy them with the wt loss now...I had RNY open on 8-8-06...Down 72lbs...I was a lite wt to start..at 222, 214 day of surgery after a liquid fast....just got into size 10 jeans this week....thanks..Sue.

Tanya, Congratulations on your mile stones. I hope this weight loss is encouraging in all areas, remember what it felt like to be the "fat" one..its not so much jeolousy as they dont know how to handle the situation correctly. We were fat for a reason and I plan to use that experience to empower other women to see past the physical in this "looks" society...We know personality and character are rated much higher...Thanks for the post....Sue H.

I have finally made it to the century club as of 2/1/07. I still have a ways to go but I am happy to have made it to the 100 lbs lost mark in 5 mths and 2 weeks.

Mine started to thin out more all over and I had some breakage in the front around 3 mths out too. My beautician noted she has noticed more of an issue in the front. I will definitely try the folic acid tip. I take 2 centrum multiv, 6 fish oil supps, 2 prenatal vits, 3 adek, 2 calcium, and 12000mg of biotin a day-the biotin will vary depending on if I can only find the 1500 mg or 5000 mg biotin tablets. I am diligent about my vitamins and am so glad I saw this post.
But, I have also heard people say that the shedding may occur for some whether they take their vitamins or not but that it will definitely grow back. So, I am glad to know that. I had my beautician braid my real hair and add extensions to give my hair a "break" while all of this shedding is going on.

Hey Pam! Boy do I know this one. I thought I'd be bullet proof with all the supplements I take post WLS, but I have had the sinus "crud" for a week now and finally took some Sudafed. It worked wonderfully. Call your MD and make sure he doesn't have a better choice for you hon and feel better soon. Hugs, Mary
