There is a notice on the Pennsylvania Board from Carlos' sister, he passed away. Don't know if anyone from this board knew him.

Seems like my weight loss is really slowing down too. I can eat a little more but I do work out a good bit! I was at 205 at the begining of February. Now it it the end of March and my scale is going between 191-193 I need to get to 185 to be at my minus 100 mark!!! What is taking so long. I thought for sure I'd have been down 100 pounds by now. I have tried upping my protein and water but I guess I just have to keep trying.

I completely understand what you are talking about. I too am stuck at 200 or 205....I wanted so much to be below 200 at my 6 month check up but that didn't happen. I am stalled and have been stalled for about 2 months now but I continue on. Now it is time for Ms. Flo to visit and I am starting to gain fluid...yuck!! I will keep the faith however. Good Luck All! Boy I could have been writing this post too...amazing how a lot of us are at the same stage. So far I have lost 80 pounds since surgery and 98 pounds all together. The weight loss definately slowed down, I only lost 3 pounds in February and 5 so far in March. I am ok with this as I am getting used to my new body...so exciting! But I worry like I hear many of you saying, that I still need to watch what I eat etc. I try to journal etc and count protein and so on, but I am struggling with that...just cant seem to make myself do it. I do exercise quite a bit, with my treadmill at home, going to the gym and other fun things like cross country skiing, swimming and walking. I have so much more energy and fitness. I have not even been on this website for a long time, so nice to read up on how others are doing. This week, I am going to try to write down what I eat and also get back to drinking my water. What are your goals for this week? (Remember keep it manageable). Cindy 303/285/205/?

Lea, I have been stalled for a month now, and I know it's because I'm not eating right. I was ready to start keeping a food journal again, and was thinking of creating an excel sheet of my own. But since you've got 450 foods already in yours, any chance you're willing to share it? If you can't post it here, how about to my yahoo [email protected]. Thanks so much! Sherry

I am so glad I came and read this post.. I am 7 months out and have been hovering around 201 for the last month. I only lost 8 pounds in the last 2 months and I am going Crazy.. I am 97 pounds down, and teetering on the edge of Onderland.. Nothing I do tends to break this stall... I just wish I would get past the 200 mark, so I can quit focusing so much on the numbers, but for some reason, I am stuck. Uggghhhh..... I eat about 1200 cal a day now, and I certainly get my fluid intake in, with no problem. Protein shakes, I have one a day that equal 35g of protien, and I get the other protein from food. I like fruit and cheese and I drink alot of decaf tea. Getting tired of salads, but like steak the best. Goes down very easily. Chicken is still a rough go.. Have to chew it VERY well... Finding that chocolate goes down waaayy to easily too... Had to back off that for a bit, but I have not eaten a lot of "no-no" foods, especially not a pound worth.... Glad to know I am not alone.... Good luck to you, my August buddies !!!

I was so thrilled to see I was not the only one who has been stalled for a while now. It seems as if the last 2-3 months I have barely lost 8-10 lbs. I have been sick with back surgery so I thought that was my reason- everything seems to have slowed since December in fact. Food wise there is nothing that I cant eat except since surgery I am still lactose intolerant- my tummy seems to like fish the most and chicken the worst. I make my own fresh protein shakes and do at least one a day to get in about 80-100gms of protein with food (most days, there are days I blow it or am not even hungry) Water intake still sucks even after all of these months and I will be 8 months post op next week. There are days I can eat alot and others I barely can eat a few bites. I want to lose 28lbs more and my doc says I was at goal at 180- right now I might want to think about my goal being 150 cause my body is fighting me to lose alot- maybe we stall for a couple of months and then we lose again????? What do you all think??? hugs, Tanya 261/252/168/140

Thanks: I tried GasX and it helped somewhat--but when I called and spoke to my doctor's office, they suggested BEANO which has been a life saver. It stops the gas before it starts if I eat about 3 of them before I eat trigger foods.
