Topic: RE: Marriage
I do have one WLS friend who has been seriously flirting and getting very physical with men and women since surgery. Her marriage is in serious jeopardy as a result. I don't know if she's actually done anything, but it wouldn't surprise me. Several of us have talked to her about her behavior, but she doesn't see anything wrong with walking up to a strange man and grabbing his butt while she's talking to him, teasing him, etc. I think you need to get into some therapy to deal with what you're feeling. Though seen as a positive thing - more self confidence - it's actually rather self-destructive because it threatens your long-term life and happiness. I think it might be an important step to let your husband know where you're at. You might be showing signs of straying that you're not realizing that he's picking up on and it would probably be better to have an open dialog with him about what's going on with you than shutting him off. Best wishes to you.

Topic: RE: 6 Month Update.
Hope you are feeling better. The flu bug is rough because we can't force the fluids to flush our systems. I started at 370 and was at 240 on my 6 month post op. I am at 234 now, with 64 lbs to go. Keep on losing!

Congrats on the loss!! I agree that your daily intake seems low and you might want to up it a little to keep your body from thinking you are starving it. I have trouble getting my water in or the protein. It seems like it is one or the other but not both in the same day. I will be working on that this month. I had my 6 month post op and the doctor said I could go back to the stage 3 diet for up to 10 days and then advance it slowly. He said this would kick start my losing again. I may do that if the scales don't give up a little this week. I will be stalled for a month on Monday.... grrrrr

Topic: RE: Anyone stalling even gaining?
Oh yeah the skin is everywhere!! I am down 136 lbs since 8/23/06 and have 64 lbs to go to reach my personal goal. The doctor wants another 25 lbs beyond that but I will be happy reach 170 lbs before my tummy surgery. My biggest problem is getting enough food. I laugh when I feel that I have been over doing it for a couple of days and the scale drops 5 lbs!! OMG what is that?? I know it is that I undereat so many days that my body is fighting me to keep what it needs. Well it needs to stop!! I will not give up until I reach my goal!

Topic: RE: What's your typical daily menu?
Isn't it something when you don't eat and you gain weight??? OMG just stop! I have stopped weighing except on Monday mornings. That is my only time I go near the scales. I am learning that if I eat too little, I will stop losing all together. If I eat too many carbs I will not lose and may even put on a lb or 2. Too little carbs and no lose either. Go figure! I have learned that the liquid is a key role. If I am not drinking, it doesn't matter whether I eat or not, NOTHING is happening. Problem is that I can either get the protein in or the liquid, not usually both in the same day.

Topic: RE: 100 inches lost and gone forever!
That is wonderful! I have been stalled in the weight loss department for about 2 weeks and it is driving me crazy..... however, I was able to get into a smaller size even with no loss of weight so I know my body is still working on things even if the scale doesn't show it. I didn't take measurements before I started this adventure. I did take a picture the morning of surgery. I still don't see the major change when I look in the mirror. I do see all the extra sagging skin, but I still see me as fat in the mirror.

That is wonderful for you to reach your goal so quickly!! Hang in there with the maintaining... it will be a learning curve for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if you continued to lose weight though. At 6.5 months, your body isn't through according to the post surgery reports. I think I read that your body would take 12-15 months to settle down and level off. Good luck!

Topic: RE: How are you doing?
I have found that I like the spring mix salads with almonds and shredded meat on them. Taco salad is good to but I ask them to not put much lettuce in the bowl. With the meat, cheese, beans and salsa... it is great! Course I would love to eat the shell but don't. I am now down 136 lbs and feel like things are slowing down for me with the weight loss. I still have 64 lbs to reach 170. Don't really know why I have picked that number as my personal goal except that 170 will mean I have lost 200 lbs. After my tummy surgery, I was told I would level out at about 150. I have gone from a 34+ to an 18 so far!! This is too cool. I do go to the gym 3 times a week to ride the bikes for 30 mins. Once a week I take a water cardio class and swim on the other 2 days while at the gym. I would like to go everyday but life just gets in the way. I agree that the bad foods are the things that I can eat alot more of.... give me pretzels or popcorn NO PROBLEMS.... give me a spoonful of tuna and I have to choke it down! LOL
