Thanks for all of this good info. I've been thinking about this too, and it's good to hear that I need to be patient and do this right.

I'm so glad I checked this forum today! Like the rest of you, I need a goal to get off these last pounds.
I started at 272, and I'm now at 181. (Thank you, God!)
There's 8 weeks left until July 4th, so I'd let to set a goal of losing 15 pounds by then.
Every pound is getting harder to lose, but like the rest of you, I can cut out some snacks and drink less wine. I'm not sure which will be harder for me, but having this challenge really helps!!
Go team!!

Julie, try taking things one step at a time. Do you exercise??? If not, I highly (highly!) recommend that you begin b/c that has made all the difference for me. Focus on your weight loss and try not to get ahead of yourself about the plastic surgery. Be proud of your accomplishments, b/c you have lost a lot of weight!!! Focus on your achievements rather than what you still want to change. This is a process, and you are doing great!

Topic: July 4th Mini-Challenge
Hi Lea, couldn't find the post on the main board, and know I won't be around this evening to report so here goes.
Starting weight for challenge - 200
This morning - 195
Loss= -5
How I did it? Well, I started a chart and a list on last Thursday (week and 3 days ago) with 3 things, drinking water, exercising and limitting snack foods. I think where I did the most was the exercising, I was really busy and active this last week and it definately helped.

Topic: RE: Hi
Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat! I'm down about 70 pounds, and this past month I've been fluctuating back and forth a pound or two;
depending on how well I stick to the program. I could have gotten another fill, but I've decided to try a few other things first, for the next few months. First of all, I'm starting to show some flabby skin so I'm going to start a weight training program. I also want to work on my own perception of the weight loss. I'm finally going to get a full-
length mirror. I'm realizing that it takes me longer to see the actual weight loss than it does those around me. Anyway, will begin right after my blood test to make sure all my supplements are in line.

Topic: 9 months ut on May 8th.
I really have to shake things up a bit to get the last 20 lbs off. So I too will be working with the rest of you on exercise and walking. anyone experiening anxiety or depression? I think this is so much to go thru in a short period of time and my nerves were up alot..but someone else thought it might be depression..
Topic: RE: Finally! Anyone want to challenge for a July 4th goal??
I think I'll join too! Let me think. I'm at 179 and I think I'm going to plateau for a bit. It's my own fault (those darn carbs) I have a plan this week to get back on track so hopefully my plateau won't be for too long!
I think by July 4th I would like to be at 160. I know I'm going to have to work hard BUT my surgeon wants me to be at 130 by my anniversary. I'm not sure if I'll make that, lol.
