All true.... and in the end it really won't matter how long it took, as long as I am healthy. I feel better, that is the main point to me. I have more energy than before and I can walk around without being in pain. I has won the battle already! More weight loss will come, just not as fast at the first 100 lbs. Sherryl

My surgery was 8/23 @ 370. I am hovering (stalled) at 210-213 for about a month now. Looking for something to get it rolling again.

I am really struggling with getting any loss at all. I started in 8/06 at 370, lost to 270 on 12/15 and now am at 213 6/19 - I would like to be under 200 by my anniv 8/23. Not sure what else to do cept pump it up at the gym. I am not eating too much, but I do still struggle with liquids. I just don't want them.

I have had a banner week...best weight loss for the whole year since Jan 1! Since about mid January, I've been losing very slowly--just a pound or two per week. Then, for some odd reason which escapes me, all of a sudden I lost 10 pounds in one week last week! Sure wish I knew what happened as I'd like to repeat it! But, I'll take it anyway! That loss puts me now at 251, down from 410 which is a loss of 159 pounds. Wow, I've lost almost as much as my 18 year old weighs! LOL She is about 165.... I still have about 75 pounds to lose to reach my own personal goal and I was getting frustrated with that small, slow rate of loss. This perked me up a bit! And, it helped show me that my system is definitely not winding down just yet! SO, it got me to wondering if any of the rest of you experienced something similar this last month or so??????? Lea

Are you logging your food and liquid intake? If not, please consider doing so for a week or so to see what you're actually eating. If you are doing so already, where do you fall calorie wise? You may not be eating enough to keep your body out of starvation mode. And, if you are not getting enough liquids, that will hinder your progress too. It sometimes is just that simple! How do you feel? Do you have any energy or are you tired a lot? Had any blood work done to see where you stand on that front? How's your thyroid function? Getting motivated to exercise more here this summer... It sure ain't easy after years of not exercising either because I chose not to or later because I was unable to.... UGH! Having started out at 410, it took much longer to get to that point where exercising was comfortable to do... Hugs, Lea
