Hi Barbara, I am at the other end of the month. I have my pre-admission testing on Monday the 31st of July. I will pray for you on Tuesday, as I have a friend who is also having surgery that day. Hugs, Trish

Thank the Lord above for the bubble of grace that seems to surround me this week. I thought I would be a complete wreck getting this close but I'm not. Not to say I'm not anxious, I am, and I've had diarrhea for a couple days, but overall I'm doing well. My biggest worry is the walking after surgery. I'm not very mobile to begin with being 531 lbs, but now with the loss of my arthritis medicine, it's gotten worse. My doctor required I be able to walk 5-10 minutes for surgery. I could do 5 a couple weeks ago with a couple breaks in there but I fear it's worse now. But I keep telling myself that God has so perfectly orchestrated all this all along that he won't abandon me now. I have to be at the hospital at 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning. Being one of the first to have surgery in August, I'll try to post as soon as I can and let everyone know what's going on and even though each person is different, what to expect. Hi everyone! I'm Barbara and my surgery date is August 2nd. I just found this board today, and my mind is going bonkers with questions about the future. Who will have hardly any pain? Who will come home first? Who will be able to get their protein down and who will lose 10 lbs first?? I have been busy, busy, busy with getting ready, that has really helped me to cope. I wrote a lot of it down on my profile page. Tonight I am sorting through my clothes and saying Goodbye to FAT CLOTHES! I have a few comfortable things in my current size and several in the next few sizes. I have been buying a little here and there at thrift shops. It is shocking at how you can get small clothing cheap! Man am I going to save money!! Here is wishing you all well Barbara
