This is my first post to the message board, and I want to say HELLO to everyone and introduce myself. My surgery is scheduled for Thursday, August 17, 2006. I'm SO EXCITED!!! I have been doing so much research, and worked extremely hard throughout this summer to make sure that I had all of the pre-op stuff done so that I could get the procedure before I start classes on Monday, August 28, 2006. Don't have too much to say now. I'm not really nervous to have the procedure; really just looking forward to it. I'm sure that will all change once everything hits me the day before/morning of surgery; my demeanor will be completely different, LOL. Well, it wold be nice to hear from some of you. And to everyone that's having the surgery in the month of August, or had it recently, or even later on... GOOD LUCK TO YOU and I will pray for you all!!! Take care! Yea I sure never thought I would be buying my own First Class Ticket to ...... Loserville. But man, I cannot wait to get there. Hey again Tanya, So funny...you say I made YOU smile, and now you made ME smile. I am so diggin' this board. I was pretty isolated and now Voila, I feel connected. Thanks so much. ANd you cracked me up when you mentioned the Journey Concert--Oh how we all pined for Stev Perry, eh? By the way, I didn't want my whole name searchable on the internet and there's always so many Lisa's...I just called myself "Ramona" Lisa because that's where I just moved to from San Diego. Have to admit its been kinda fun getting all these nice letters starting Dear Ramona! Ha! I think I'm already starting to bond with the new me! Funny thing though--there's a pizza place down the road and I just realized -their- name is "Ra-Mona-Lisa's!" Don't think I'll be staring at their celeb Davinci portrait menu again soon, though. My date is August 7th - one week to go! I am buying SF jello and Skim Plus milk today - got some broth last week and a little battery operated hand held fan - not sure if it works yet. I am working hard at work to finish things up as I won't be coming back here post-op. I start a new job on Ausgust 28 as a LOSER!! What's great is someone at my new job had gastric bypass three months ago and is doing well, so I'll have support and someone to ask questions of. I feel so blessed! All the best to my August colleagues - you are in my thoughts and prayers!!! Chris
