Topic: RE: August Surgery Roll Call!
Well my date was july 27 then August 8 but now it is August 14th for sure no change for me. I have not even thought about what I was going to take maybe a pair of boxer/shorts. I seen someone mention tongs? I can only guess what those would be for but I do not really want to guess. lol But looks like there are some ideas I will have to steal I did not think about the lip balm. Well I wish everyone a speedy recovery and a safe one at that. I just changed doctors this week. But he seems to be a good one this time. He did not make me go on a pre-op diet the liquid one but I was thinking that maybe I should do liquids for 5 days are so before that way my system is cleaned out? Any vets have any input on that one?

They're pushin' me to the 8th.
(Lola, I'll be with you in spirit! And am keeping you in my special thought.
Consider me the twin who waited until after midnight to make her appearance!)

Topic: Date change again/by 1 day/now on AUG 8th
Well, another little snafu---office called & said I'm in the computer now for Tues the 8th instead of the 7th. Its sort of like finding out your birthday isn't the day you've been celebrating! (OK, maybe more like your Mom's caesarian was switched and she gave everybody birth announcments with the wrong date on them.)
In any case, I'll look forward to some big shindigs with all of you come next August!

Wow to have your surgery pushed up 2 weeks would freak me out, I just submitted my FMLA paperwork yesterday and my surgery is August 21st. Have you been able to submit all your paperwork at the J O B? Good luck and God's speed for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery
Topic: RE: It's OFF
You will be able to eat there, just not for about 6 months or so and then only in moderation LOL. My girlfriend is 2 years out and has been very supportive, she eats all her favorites not just in moderation (about a spoonful of each) if she has more she and its not a pretty picture.
On a lighter note, congrats on your surgery and I'm sending warm wishes and prayers for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery
Topic: RE: I LOVE THIS SITE!!!!
I love this site too. Congrats on your surgery My surgery is August 21st.
I also have 3 wonderful chldren 2 boys and 1 girl. 24, 18 and 12. I'm 41 yrs old and I have been divorced for 2 years. I was married for 19years to my Middle school sweetheart. I am having Lap RNY at CMC Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
I started on vitamins in January when I decided this would be the year I would have WLS. I am supplementing 1 meal right now with a protein drink. I use light soy milk with Orange creamsicle protein (allthewhey) and add 1 banana. I never knew heaven could taste so good. That one 8oz drink gives me 31.25 grams of protein and my nutrtionist told me that I could use two scoops of protein after surgery to make sure I get in my protein. That would give me 56.25 grams of protein in one 8 oz drink Wow is all I could say.
I'm sending warm prayers for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery your way . We will bother be loser's soon.
