Having surgery tomorrow August 4. I am so excited and nervous!!! I hope I can sleep tonight!

I also have a surgery date of August 7th... and I am still way to excited to be nervous. With the amount of people I am seeing on this and other websites and in real life, the risk is always there because doctors are human beings, but the reward looks so much sweeter thru the eyes of those who have already been thru this part of the journey. I just look forward to living a larger, fuller life as a smaller me. I'm ready to live it up and really take charge!!!!! I'll be thinking of and praying for you, me and all the others that share our August 7th surgery date. I'm ready to be a loser!!!!! Peace

Topic: I'm home & doing OK...
Doing well. It started off very rough. Here is an outline:
1. Surgery @ 10:30am pushed to 1pm.
2. No room for me to go to. I was in recovery from 4pm-9:15pm.
3. Still on my back since 9:30am that morning. Very rough night lots of back pain.
4. Finally stood up at 11am the next morning...very weak, dizzy...Went back to bed with an additional pain shot. Slept like a rock for 2 hours. Woke up & I was a new person.
5. Started to get around & doing very well.
6. Took me off pain pump & onto oral. Now I'm home & resting.
Will keep you up to date. Thanks for all your prayers

Hi April! I am also on August 7th!
I have my house stocked up with SF jello, chicken broth. I want to go down to the Jersey Shore on Saturday and jump in the waves and eat some seafood. How about you? Any last minute fun plans? I hope to keep my nerves/anxiety in check by keeping busy!

I just got a call from my doctor. My surgery has been reschedlued from the 24th of August to the 15th of August...See you all on the losing side very very soon
