This is too funny. I am exactly that way. I think it's just wasted space...and it kinda just sis in my little pouch, taking up room. I still haven't been brave enough to try one...but with my surgiversary tomorrow, maybe I will! Thanks for the validation!

Topic: Need some advise and help 1 year out
I had my surgery one year ago. I am scared that there is something wrong. it seems that i can eat alot more and i do not get the feeling that i am full. my appetite has increased also. I have lost a total of 148 lbs but the last month I can't seem to loose any weight. i walk three times a week about 1/4 mile each time. and my meals consist of the following Breakfast Yogurt with powered protein morning snack hard boiled egg lunch 6oz chicken with a little salad and about 3/4 cup fresh fruit afternoon snack is usually a cheese stick and a piece of fruit dinner fish with salad or veggies this morning i got on the scale and i gained 2 lbs. i just keep going back and forth i gain 2 lbs and then i loose 2lbs. my last dr appt was may 17 and i think i have only lost 10 lbs. that is less that a 1lb a week. anyone have any advise or help for me.

Topic: Yesterday made one year
Its actually 12:36 am here so I am still considering it the 10th and my one year surgiversary. I have lost a total of 114 lbs and now weigh 142. I am only 5'1 so thats a pretty good bit. I feel so much better and my thyroid and antidepressant medicine has been decreased majorly. I truely love my surgeon, he gave me my life back. I would like to take his office a thank you gift when I go for my one year check-up Wednesday but I have no idea what to choose. Any ideas would be helpful. Happy Surgiversary to all of the August peeps! Congrats!

Congrats on your 1 year! Mine is approaching. It is truly amazing how life can almost be handed back to us on a silver platter. It may not be a shiny platter but we can poli**** until it does shine. I am so thankful. I am a new person. Heathly and more confident. Keep up the good work!

Topic: Today was one year for me
Well today was the one year anniversary for me with that day being the new start of a new life for me,last week I went to the small town swimming pool with my two sisters and daughter and grandkids, have not been there in probably 30 years but I was wearing a new swim suit and it was a size 16 did not know I would have ever seen that size again but it will be less next summer,I want to lose another 60 lbs. though I really need to exercise more, I went to the Dr. for my one year visit yesterday and the nurse told me it is good to use a balance ball just sit on it and bounce when you are sitting watching TV at night. I am glad to say all of my blood work tests came back normal, now that in itself is a small miracle for me everything was in the normal range. This WLS has been the best thing I have ever done for myself and if anyone out there is wanting to have this surgery done get all the pre-op done and go for it, but make sure you have a good DR. I had Dr. Roger de la Torre of DePaul Health Center Of Bridgeton Mo. He is a very top Dr. and so are his staff,
