yes I was super crazy with my scale.
So, I did throw it away.
I have to see my Dr. every month for a year so they can just weigh me.

I too am having trouble getting everything in I am almost 8 weeks out. I usually get in at least one protein drink a day sometimes two. I have more water problems than anything. It is like you said unless i am constantinly drinking i have problmes with it. Even doing that i sometimes dont get but maybe 30 oz in a day . I know this isnt enough but i dont know how to remedy it .
I am able to eat supper . i have no problem with eating seems like it is just the water mainly. I am getting about 400 calories a day.
I have lost 37 pounds 10 before surgery and 27 since. I know i need to up the water intake and every day i say i am going to but i dont seem to get it done. . Until i can get more in i know the weight loss will be very slow. Jan

Sable,
Hi, I'm Carrie... I read most of the posts but don't really respond to much of them. I went through a stall for the last 2 weeks and now I have see the scale move this past week. My RE-Birth Day was 08/29/06 and I'm down 35 pounds. I am also obsessed with my scale and weigh myself daily. I wish I never bought that darn thing. LOL
I been blessed to have this surgery and think I would do it again. Although, at my first week I had buyers remorse.
Congrats on the weight loss and I wish you continued success!
Carrie

Hi Sue,
I have been supplementing with a protein drink daily myself. Fortunately, I am able to eat a little more so I am able to get a lot of my protein in by eating.
I still can't get in 64 ounces but I am doing a lot better than I have been...I am at about 48 to 50 ounces now.
I can really drink a lot more now, 8 ounces in 20 to 30 minutes...for that I am grateful.
My caloric intake is about 400 - 500 calories a day....I feel fine, lots of energy. Work out about 4 days a week.
Have you asked your nutritionist about your intake...that would be my first contact. To me it seems a little low...but it could be great for you.
Hugs and you have done a wonderful job!!

I had RNY (open) on 8-8-06. I am down 30lbs since surgery, lost 20 before surgery. I eat proteins (some form) three times per day. I have no appetite so still use protein powder supplements mostly with skim milk or pudding. I try to get all my water in but find that unless I am constantly drinking I am unable to do this. I only get about 200 to 350 calories on a good day...I feel fine, but worry about my diet and protein mostly. Is anyone else eating like this at 8 weeks out?

Hey Cindy....thanks for checking on everyone....we do all need to stick together!
sounds like everyone is different....as we heard it would be...and we arent very patient are we? I struggle each day with water...ugh Im so tired of it...each sip makes me think I wanna puke
I weigh 3 times a day...even at work...drives me crazy when it doesnt move.
I worry Im not eating enough....(it would be ok with me to not eat period and only drink my shakes, but I know that isnt good either.)
I am so tired after work that I can only walk on my treadmill like 15 minutes....PITIFUL
But I awoke this Monday to a scale that hadnt moved in a week and decided dang it Im gonna drink this freakin water and exercise 45 minutes every day.
Well its Thursday and today is the only day I have done that...each other day I cant get thru 36 oz of my water. UGH !!! Why is that so hard?!
But I did awake this morning to a loss....thats 49 from my highest and 29 since surgery....
Some clothes are HUGE and look silly, so I gotta ditch em...my shoes are too big..lol...now THAT is strange feeling...
Most of my difference is in my face, wrist, ankles legs, etc...wierd when you take a shower huh...and this face...man I havent seen it in years!
Each weekend my mom cries when she sees me.....I catch her staring at my face..lol
she is so happy i did this for myself.
So lets be strong ladies and know that this WILL WORK...and we are all here to support each other through this...
Im praying for you all!

I had one pre-op I remember a gagging feeling other than that not to much they put you almost all the way out or they did with me. My wife was inside watching she said they just had to remind me to breath because o2 stats were always down. Wife works at same hospital I had mine done that is why she was watching. But it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be the main thing is the nerves of having something done that you have never had done before. Oh and the scope was bigger than I thought it was going to be when I seen it. The spray they spray in your throat is nasty tasting. Other than that not a bad procedure.
