i tsp peanut butter is on my list to just put it in your mouth and let it melt. that is what my doctors nurse said to do. said it will give you a real boost of energy. I didnt think i would like it like that but it is pretty good. I use regular store brand. Jan

I found Adams Peanut Butter has a variety that doesn't have any sugar. Also, there are a few stores and maybe some health food stores where you can grind your own PB so you know it's only made of peanuts. I tried a bit of regular peanut butter and it was terrible. I'd wait until I got the sugar free if I were you. Carol

I had my surgery the same date as yours. Peanut butter is on my list. One of the recommended meals is 3 saltine crackers and 1 T. peanut butter. I don't have it often but it is good. Dianna

Topic: Peanut Butter?
I am almost 6 weeks out had Surgery Aug. 30th. I am still on soft foods and will start transitioning to "real food" in the next week or so. I have several friends at my church who have had the surgery and one suggested peanut butter as protein source. I didn't see this on my "approved" list yet. Has anyone tried it? If so what kind? I worry about sugar content anything above 8 grams makes me dump or giving me bad cramps.

Tanya, I thnk I was ment to find this post. I am so like you. Except for I am at a 4 week stall, NOTHING FOR 4 WEEKS. However, the frustraton and disappointment that you feel I feel. Your comment about the friend issue is so me also. No one understands but us. You other comment about getting to a certain weight and staying there is so me too. Gosh I cant believe I found someone else just like me. I know this doesnt help you much but I just wanted you to know your not alone. Hang in there, I am trying to also! Gia

to help with the water thing. i got some 16 oz bottles. fill them with what ever you wan****er,plain or flovored and give myself a time limit on it. it is small enough to be able to get it down in two hours.at the most. Get 4 of these down a day and you have your 64 oz of water you need. I am doing so much better now since i found this one out. the 16 oz bottles are the size of the crystal light bottles that you can by at the store prefilled. so buy you a set of them in your favortite flavor and then you can refil them at home. can also get rid of all those bigger bottles out of ref that take up so much room that were so daunting to me. Hello Amy and Norma, I too am august 14th baby. I started at 258 and now weight 220 . I am now into size 16s on the top and still 18s on the bottom becasue of the tummy area. the pants are big in the hips and legs but the tummy takes the 18. Snacks? when it is time for a snack that is when i have my protein shake. at night if i get the munchies i have a Edys frozen sugar free juice bar. They are really good, tasty and sweet and no sugar, I did buy some sugar free cookies for a taste once in a while too . just dont do the whole bag like we use to. lol You know you did too lol The thing i miss the most is salty crunchy things like chips. but i will just have to get over it. Not going there. Jan
