How's everyone doing?
I have had a banner week...best weight loss for the whole year since Jan 1! Since about mid January, I've been losing very slowly--just a pound or two per week. Then, for some odd reason which escapes me, all of a sudden I lost 10 pounds in one week last week! Sure wish I knew what happened as I'd like to repeat it! But, I'll take it anyway! That loss puts me now at 251, down from 410 which is a loss of 159 pounds. Wow, I've lost almost as much as my 18 year old weighs! LOL She is about 165.... I still have about 75 pounds to lose to reach my own personal goal and I was getting frustrated with that small, slow rate of loss. This perked me up a bit! And, it helped show me that my system is definitely not winding down just yet!
SO, it got me to wondering if any of the rest of you experienced something similar this last month or so???????

I am really struggling with getting any loss at all. I started in 8/06 at 370, lost to 270 on 12/15 and now am at 213 6/19 - I would like to be under 200 by my anniv 8/23.
Not sure what else to do cept pump it up at the gym. I am not eating too much, but I do still struggle with liquids. I just don't want them.
Hi Lea,
I am glad to see your name. It has been while. I am down from a start of 377 to 229. It has slowed a little but that is to be expected. I laughed when I sw your comment about your daughter. I have an 18 year old who was doing laundry and put my clothes in her closet. She wore my bra accidently the other day.....she weighs 159. I too have about 65 lbs to go for my own goal. WE CAN DO IT!. I see the doctor on friday. He is doing my annual check early because he is over 2 hours away.
Keep up the good work. Stay in touch.

My daughter might be able to get my bras fastened around her comfortably, but the cups would look deflated! LOL She's a C and I'm still a DD... She weighs about 215 and I'm at 252 right now. I would love to get down in to onederland. Even 199 would make me happy! LOL And I am feeling closer to clothing sizes that start with a one too as I am in 22s now. Who knows. I think it will actually happen! LOL

Are you monitoring what you eat? If not, please consider doing so even for a week or two. It can be very illuminating at times! Sometimes you are not getting enough protein. Sometimes you are not getting enough liquids. Sometimes you are getting too many carbs... You know where you should be but sometimes without writing it down you aren't getting there!

Go to Fitday.com and log in what you are eating. Once I did this and found out I ate 1600 in one day. No wonder I haven't been loosing as I thought I should.
You should track what you eat daily and this way you can see how the calories add up even though we are not eating much, they do add up.
I go on a kick of eating too many pistachio nuts. Now I have to not buy them to keep me from eating them. Too many are not good. Too much fat and calories add up.

I sure wish I could have a week of loosing 10 lbs. That would be wonderful. The weight is coming off so slowly now. However, it makes me evaluate what i am eating and keeps me going to the gym. So it has picked up in the last week I have lost 2 lbs. I want to continue that trend till I get to 120#. I will take it one day at a time.
I had surgery 8/9/2006 and have lost 91 lbs. I now weigh 138 which is the weight I used to weigh 28 yrs ago. The 1st time I started my weight lost jurney was before my son was born in 1980. I am 4'11" and hit my all time high of 138 and joined WW and lost 30 lbs to 108 and became a life time member.
I sure wish I would have stuck with going to my free meetings I was eligible to attend if I stayed within a certain number of lbs from my goal weight. That was the biggest mistake.
You see I have lost and gain back plus 15 more each time I tried to loose in the past and over the last 28 yrs I gain 100#.
Now with this surgery, I have been able to loose the 91 lbs. It has been 101# since 2/2006.
