Anyone else have a wound infection?

Well, I went to my pcp this week for another reason, but I had her look at my incision that was still not healed. She did a culture and put me on antibiotics. They called today and said it is staph. Yuck. I am so glad I went. I am going to let the physician's assistant know when I go in for my 6 week check up at the surgeons. She did not take a cultrure even though I told her there was junk coming out of it. Yuck. I am glad I have been on the antibiotics for a couple of days. It already looks better. I know that staph infections can be really bad if not treated promptly. Just an fyi if you have a wound that is not healing............have the dr check it throughly!
