Mixed feelings

I've been dreaming of having this lapband done for years. When I finally get the money together and decided its time. I had an accident and fell down the stairs breaking my ankle. My doctor meet me anyway and said don't worry about it . He has scheduled me for Aug 19/06 even thought I'll still be in a heavy walking cast. I don't want to put this off anymore , guess my nerves are kicking in high gear already and still have a month to wait. I feel like I'm pregnant for the first time again LOL same thoughts and feelings..My biggest fear is that I'm a diabetic , taking insulin 4 times a day and not sure about how fast things will work on my system. I've only had one low reactions in 25 yrs. Maybe I should just stop thinking so much !

i don't think the cast will be a problem at all. It sounds like it's a walking cast anyway. I'm not sure about lap band, but my friends who have had RNY haven't had to take their diabetic meds at all after surgery. You'll be great, surgery will be great and it will all be wonderful. No worries!
