Eight - Eight is my Date!

Hi everyone, this is my first post to the message boards. I probably should have thought of ya'll sooner when I was having trouble getting Aetna to approve my surgery. Anyway, I appealed and won, so that's over and done with. Now that I'm not fighting them, however, I have time to start getting nervous. Yikes! Any advice?

Welcome Sherry! As you will read on here we all have a case of nervousness right now! So believe me it is normal and we know how you are feeling! Congrats on battling your insurance, I personally went through that as well. Good luck with your surgery. Remember, if you have any questions all of us here have probably experienced something similar and we are here!

Congrats on your date, 8/8 is a cool date...(I'm almost a poet there! ) Leslie is right, we all have nerves as our dates are approaching...so you are in good company! Someone once told me that if you aren't nervous, then it isn't important to you! But we all deal with things differently... I have been trying to occupy myself with other things: work, organizing my house, touching base with friends and family...but then, I still have three weeks to go.... I am sure I will a wreck when my week comes along. I can't wait to hear how all my August buddies do in the next couple of months! Heather T.

Hi Sherry! Looks like we're sharing the same surgery date! I went through the nerves when I was waiting for my original date last month. Everyone assured me that nervousness is natural. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and I'll meet you on the losing side!
