August 16 - AZ

I will be having surgery on August 16th. I'm excited and nervous all in the same breath. Thank God for this board and all the good information I have been getting! I feel good about my decision to have WLS. Best wishes and prayers to all the other members who are having surgery. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated! LeAnne

LeAnne, I am so excited for you. I have not gotten to a nervous part yet, but I can understand feeling that way. This is a big decission for all of us. Let's see, my suggestion.... ummm.... Enjoy a little of something you love to eat before your tummy can not handle it (if you want) and buy some lip balm for the hospital. Hugs, Aunt Pam

Congrats on your date LeAnne, My date is the day before yours on the 15th. I come here almost everyday to keep some of the nervousness down. I went to support group here and got some addvice. I am bringing a robe for walking the halls and some slippers. Someone else said a pillow to make the ride home more comfortable.
