August 9, 2006 (I'm a nervous wreck)

I'm a mess!!! I'm a ball of different emotions. One minute I'm laughing and the next crying. Now I know all of that isn't mental pause. I mean Menopause. This happened so fast. Anyone else feeling the same way? Sheila

I am sure every single one of us feels the same way! I am at a calm spell right now - but since my date is a only a week away I am sure these next couple days will find me in a heap of emotions!!! You are NOT alone - we are ALL here for ya!

You hit the nail on the head - Twilight Zone - What is to come of us? - How much will our lives be changed forever? I am August 8th and I feel so at odds. I want the surgery. I'm scared that something will go wrong. I'm scared to not be able to eat what I want to. I'm excited to be thin. I'm scared to be thin. And on and on and on... Eek!!! Risa

Yeppppp, been there and doing that! Yesterday I was scrubbing the kitchen floor, singing and having a good time with my IPod...then FFRREEAAKKEEDD out for no reason...lol, now I find it comical!

Hi I try to think positive.So many of my so caLLED friends keep putting me down for having this.I have tried to avoid them.I will be scared on the day of the surgery.As of right now my health is poor.So i am doing something good for Kay.i can't bite my nails there fake hahahahaha

I can't say I have really felt any of the nerves yet- I am just so thrilled to be having this surgery! I have been working like crazy, and will be working until the 8th- until I have to go home and do the pre-op stuff. Good luck to my fellow 8/9 er's! Emily
