August 15th

Yikes! Now Im nervous....I was already nervous. Now its worse. Good luck to all you others going in August! We can go thru this together! LOL, my anniversary is August 16th. Guess there won't be any candle light dinners that night ...or anything else for that matter. Poor Mike

I have open RNY on Aug. 10, our 39th anniversary is Aug. 12, and my birthday is Aug. 16. I really screwed things up--no anniversary dinner and no birthday cake! LOL But my husband said that I got the biggest birthiversary gift ever--he's paying for WLS for me! He's soooooo good to me. Linda

That is awesome! My birthday is August 2nd....gonna go eat something wonderful that I may never get to eat again heh. Glad I didn't mess up my birthday tho as it is my 50th. Life should become much better now. At 50! We are indeed lucky to have loving supportive husbands! Shannon

Shannon, I know how you feel! My date is 8/7 and I just heard from the hospital calling to confirm my insurance info etc. I am so excited but so nervous too. My grandsons birthdays are 8/10 and 8/11 and my son-in-law's BD is 8/17 and my BD is 9/4....maybe I will be feeling somewhat better by my BD! LOL. Good luck to you! By the way, my hubby is supportive too!

Hiya Shannon! I'm August 16th and the nerves have started for me too! Spending so much time in a holding pattern, it seems surreal to be "on the way" definitively huh? Well Shannon, I'll be affirming a pain free, complication free experience for ya. Hugs, K

Hehe thanks for the posts. For now I am just trying to not think about it much. Gonna go see the Grandbaby next week I think as he is 5Months and growing fast and I maybe out of commision after surgery for awhile. Gotta get my hugs in!

We have the same day!!! I'll think of you , if you think of me?!?! The 15 is going to be a grate day I just know it!!!!! If you want to we can swap WLS stories!!! Just let me know!

Hello Shannon, I am with you there mine is also on the 15th. And my husband is getting ready to go away for a while for work like 3 weeks after surgery for me. How about a nice short walk in the park at sunset. I know we will not be going out to dinner on our anniversary either, since he'll be gone. I am sure he is going to be pleased to do this after you get out of the hospital. Invite him to drink one of your protein shakes with you to celebrate, or some nice chicken broth. All the best for your surgery you know I will be praying for all of us on that day. God bless may the pounds melt away. Jc-bean
