Hi,

I still check in.    Happy 5th.   I am doing well.  Just had Panny surgery.  Trying to get over the pain. 

I do not regret in any way have WLS. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself other than letting the Lord guide me.

Wow. My weight stable for 3 years. I exercise, eat right (most of the time), drink water, take vits. I feel great.  My only regret is not to have done it sooner in my life.

Happy anniversary everyone.  We did the right thing.

Happy  re-birthday Everyone in August 2005.  I cannot believe 3 years has past.  Dawn is so right no one really post very much but I do come back every now and then to see how  my  sisters in WLS are doing.

Bless us all.   Yes,  I would do it over again.  My life has changed so much for the better.  Not  (and I say this all this time in my posts)  that I was SO unhappy before,  but now I really see how much my weight kept me from doing things and enjoying life.

I will ALWAYS have the "big girl"  mentality.  After 40 years that is hard to change but I would so do it again.  WLS change my life for the better. 

The only thing I miss is my boobs.  My DH keeps claiming  he is going to buy me some.  I guess at 45 now I will be the perkiest  pair in the nursing home.

Happy Anniversay EVERYONE! 2 years... wow! I use to read other profiles about people who were 2 years or more out and would just marvel at how far they have come. NOW, I marvel at all of us. I am so pround of everyone who made that giant step. I tell people all the time, it was not the "EASY" way. Mentally and physically it was not easy. To maintain is not easy either but is so worth it. I loved my life at 360 but I love my life more today. Happy Anniversay All. Pam

I know I late again! But have been pretty steady at 183 sometimes I'm down to 178 to 179 but sometimes up to 186. I have been doing pretty good with the water. Very good on the exercise (almost everyday). I don't want to sound like I've given up but I like the size I am now. My son called me "skinny"?!?!? But I feel comfortable at 183 or so. I eat 5 small meals a day. Drink water and exercise and none of it is a chore. I feel I can live life like this. I don't want to be a size where I have to exercise 2 hours a day and eat only 800 calories a day to maintain. I guess I'm looking for simple or maybe livable is the better word. I am so glad I had surgery. What I find surprising is people who have never seen me as a large person telling me I'm so thin! All I can say is I must "wear" my weight really well because 183 is really not thin to me. But I guess it might all be perception. I have really firmed up more then I thought. Still need a tummy tuck and need some addtion back to my girls but for the most part I'm not really jiggly anywhere. I actually jog a little. Me, the 365 pound lady jogging. It's really amazing. I thank the Lord every day for the decision to have surgery. My life is not better because I weigh less it just fuller. I like it. Everyone keep striving. Just remember where we were 18 month ago. No matter what the issues. I rather be here. Pam

I'm working with you girl! Still exercising every day at least 30 mins. Trying to exercise 2x a day at least 3 days a week. On weekends up the time to 60 minutes sessions. Pretty much keeping on track. My weight is waffling around from 183 to 179 to 182 to 181.5 to 183 again. What the heck! I don't weigh every day but for the times I do it has been all over the board. I have been exercising so consistently now, it is a habit. Thank goodness because I need that habit. When I don't do something to sweat during the day, I feel like something is missing. Another good thing! I don't go to the gym because I really haven't found one I like. (I think I'm too cheap) Plus it's so easy to do exercise tapes and no excuses when working out at home. But I do need to up my weight training and can only do that at a gym. So after the 1st of the year when they have all the special, I might look into joining one. Keep going. Take care Pam

Hi ! I know I am late in posting! I'm with you on the weekly update. I read the post replies and the one about working out 90 minutes a day scared me! I still do my morning work out every morning but my evening work outs are sporatic. But after reading all this information, I want to get back to my 2 x per day work outs. But even with the 2x per day exercise, will that be 90 minutes? Scary! I calculate it would be about 60 to 70 minutes. I know other stuff is included in the 90 minutes but I am really committed to staying at or below weight I am and I want to do what is right! Count me in! Late and all. Pam

Put me down for 40 minutes this morning and 30 minutes this evening. I hate to say this but I would love some mandatory overtime so I can stop working 2 jobs! Exercise hurray! I think I am finally in the "habit" of exercising. When I don't do it for a day I feel something is missing. Must break a sweat every day even if it is just 15 minutes. I have some after pictures that should be up soon. Sent to obesity help for them to post. I have lost weight really! Everyone will see soon! "Keep on trucking baby!" Pam

I know... I know.... I have been MIA but.... I have been exercising in the morning. I have been working a 2nd job in the evening. So of course have not been logging online alot. So every morning this month but Sunday have been working out. No 2nd job on Sunday a complete day of rest. Pam

Hello. Late in posting but Hurray for exercise! I never thought I would be one of those "have to exercise" people, but I am. I exercised 40 mins this am. Had errands to run this pm and didn't do my pm exercise; so now I feel like I missed something. I think that is why I'm still up. It's like I missed something today. Happy with my progress for the month with exercise. I need to weigh myself badly. Haven't weighed any this month. But I feel good. And nothing I own fits anymore. (so I must be wearing under a 20). So Hurray for exercise! It's going to be hot in Texas for June but I'm going to keep going. Have Fun! Pam

Hello!! Day 29 exercise 1 hour. Was off of work that day. Day 30 today exercise 35 mins am. and 1 hour pm. 1 more day and May is gone! What happened to the time? 2 more months and it will be 1 year! 1 year since surgery! In someways I know I am different but in many ways I still feel the same. (not just weight either). Surgery has change alot about me. (All for the Good). Pam

Well..... did 40 mins of walking video this morning. (what was I thinking). It was actually kind of taxing. I think 30 mins in the morning is enough. Going to do 30 mins this pm already have my work out clothes on. This month is quickly coming to a close and I am pretty proud of my exercise record. Could have been as succesful without all the encouragement from my August 2005 message board pals. :hugs: I have to put in a little song today. Also been keeping an exercise journal. It's been fun and motivating trying something new with exercise. And after bad mouthin' my Kathy Smith Project You tapes...
