Hi Judy, I know there's a plateau buster recipe out there and I just went back to my basics - 3 meals a day - only protein (though now any protein is okay so it was a lot better than the 1st 6 weeks post-op.) for a week. It worked well, both mentally and physically as I was able to drop the 5 lbs I had gained and had stuck around for a couple of weeks. Head for the library and check out any of the low-carb cookbooks. They are usually higher in protein and the lower carbs is good at keeping you from dumping. Doesn't cost anything and you can get some great recipes. Dawn

Topic: RE: I broke my plateau finally!
Hija Lori! Yeah for you!!! I remember going through those hold/drops as I was approaching my goal. Luckily, mine only lasted about 3 weeks so I didn't have as much time to get stressed. I wonder when I'm going to start seeing myself as the size I am. I wear a size 4/6 very comfortably, but I just don't see it usually, especially if I'm looking at my stomach & thighs. They looks like a really bad case of cottage cheese in an almost empty bag. Se la vie... Thanks for asking to be added as one of my 'friends.'!! Dawn

Topic: I broke my plateau finally!
I have been on a plateau from hell! I don't think I have dropped a lb in almost two months. Well as of this morning, I weighed 155! I think I broke it! I haven't really changed anything other than drinking more fluids. I didn't eat alot over the weekend either which may of had something to do with it. I am just hoping that it will stay here and not go back to the 160's. I also started my period on Friday so I know some of my bloat last week was from that. This has been a pattern for me throughout this whole journey. Plateau and then lose a chunk all at once. But I will take what I can get at this point. I was beginning to wonder if I was done. Now I have people telling me I look skinnier lately. I didn't see it until this morning when I really looked at myself. But I am far from skinny. My wrists and shoulders look tiny but my butt still looks huge to me. Probably always will. I will take new pics so you all can be the judge. Hope this finds you all well and healthy. Take care, Lori 281/155/140 15lbs from goal! November 9th, first plastics consult!!

I have several cookbooks in my shopping cart at Amazon but never buy them because I rarely cook. My eating habits and those of my family are not in sync. I do lots of shrimp and steak. Chicken still doesn't go down well, too dry no matter how I cook it. What types of food do you like? I bet we can come up with something. There is always the receipe board. Torrey

I am having problems with finding something new to eat. I have been cheating the past couple of months and have put on about 10 pounds. Don't like that one bit. I know its because I am tired of eating plain ol protien things. Does anyone have a website, etc where I could go and find some good recipes that are fairly quick and simple? ANY help is appreciated! I have worked so hard to come this far and don't want to continue screwing it up. Maybe I just need to get back to basics and start over? Does anyone have the plateau buster diet? Gonna try to kick start things back in gear again. HELP!! Judy

Topic: Liver Enzymes
Hi All, Has anyone else started having elevated liver enyzmes? Mine started at the end of March and though I've heard it is common for post-ops my biggest concern is that they've been elevated since I had a low-grade temp for a month. I've been through 2 batteries of tests over the last month or so and now will be having a liver biopsy at the end of next week. Just wanted to see if anyone is experiencing similiar issues. Dawn

Thanks for your comments everyone, by the way I am on the right side of the picture. This is an amazing tool, and I did not dream how it would change my life. For example, I just toook an hour long spin class at 24 hour fitness. I never thought I would be able to do that. Have a great week eeveryone!
