Topic: Tomorrow I am having my Gallbladder removed
Hi Everyone, I have not been in here for a while. So I didn't know that the profiles had changed. Wow what a difference. Maybe I will try and update it when I get up and aboout this week since I will be off until next Monday.
I am going in and having my gallbladder removed tomorrow morning. I am not even nervous. I guess I know I am in good hands and it is outpatient surgery so it shouldn't be too bad.
I don't know the recovery time on this I have heard next day to a few weeks. I guess everyones different. I also have heard you can gain weight after it is removed. I also heard you loss weight because it is hard to handle fats. Oh well I hope I lose some weight. I have not lost in 4 months or so. I just sit around 154 to 156 lbs. I wanted to get down to 135 that was my goal, but I don't know. I am wearing a size 6 jeans maybe 135 is too low. I hope that I can at least get to 145. I am almost 5' 8" so that might be a better goal. I have not been bad at exercise. I have had so much gallbladder pain I just did not feel like it.
I am have a bladder surgery the day after christmas and then I should be back to the exercise. Then no more surgery for a year or so. Then I will think of PS. I already went for my first consult months back but I made friends with this girl that works for Dr Katzens office and she told me to wait until 2 years or more out because there is so much shifting. She said some do it too soon and then they come back a few years later with more loose skin. I thought I would take her advise since he deals with so many of us.
Oh well I let you know how this journey goes.

Topic: Sugar & Back 2 the GYM!!!
Hey! Why is everyone running away? Oh yeah- to the treadmills!!
How is everyone doing? Been awhile since I've posted on here..I have been off track- read down for more..but I am going to post this ONCE Weekly- and everyone who wants, can update here for the week..So this way I become a healthy reminder ( and to those of you complaining about butt size) this will remind you to get yours in gear!
Everyone is busy getting on with stuff and have forgotten the B2B ( as Dawn said) and
Day 2 Day..and for many of us-we have not reached our goals, or even close ( like within 15lbs) and ME NOT into ONDERLAND yet.. Grrrrrrrrrr!
I have had to get my ass in gear and BACK into the GYM!!Sounds good doesn't it? I had lost my motivation when I had my ulcer and began to slip away, to the point where I discovered I can eat CHOCOLATE safely. No dumping on chocolate kisses..so I got crazy with them.. Then I said hey- let me try some munchkins- no dumping there either..and you know I've seriously dumped before..I thought I gained a lot of weight- but actually was up @ 210- 5lbs over where I was.. but more importatnly thought I'd share what I learned:
1- BEFORE my body didnt allow me to eat sugar- now if I don't allow them- it is MY powerful choice
2- they are TOXIC to me- I can feel the difference in my body- sugar makes me itch and feel uncorftable in my skin
3- I felt "sedated" by the chocolate endorphins, & its a bad version of self love. I was seduced by sugar & surprised me how easy it was..like a bad love affair- you know its not healthy for you, but you gotta end it.
My resolve: To get focused again- with an eye on the next 6 mos- the 18m anniversary
My goal is to be in the gym everyday, and work it hard. ( I may even be in the gym 2x a day- before/after work) My 18mos up is Valentine's Day, and I will be in VEGA$ a week: 2/7-2/13, so I am looking forward to that. My goal is to get to 170sh by then and 145sh by June. Does anyone think 10lbs/month is unrealistic?
here is my Sunday workout:
I Went from 210 to 208 this morning ( I am 3lbs over where I was 8/06)
I spent 3 hrs in the gym working out & not in the order I did these:
I back pressed 180lbs (2x 15) , swivel side pressed 80lbs (2x) ; leg pressed 80lbs (3x)
boxed 30mins; barbells & stability ball- 30 mins; treadmill 25mins; stairmaster (used with handweights) 22mins; AB crunches : 340 (front & sides) .
SOO If anyone wants to join me on this quest- not to see who loses the most weight- as we are ALL BIG ASS LOSERS .. but to chart our progress and loss from here to February- what's 6mos ? Its a short time you know that - and work at your own pace- not mine..I'm just trying to crack my bodycode, because I KNOW there is a size 10 out there with MY NAME ON IT! LOL!! And Im stuck in 14land!!
ONE other thing: WOW moment: I went into a Joyce Leslie store over the weekend- its a trendy younger/juniors like store- and I used to buy clothes (preop) & say " well I'll get into this after surgery " AND Yesterday I went in- found some sexy strapless tops and 2 dresses- and TRIED them on in the fitting room- they ALL FIT!! Size LARGE!!
I wanted to jump for joy!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT WAS ME IN THE MIRROR!! Talk about having the biggest ass in the dressing room! LOL Kidding aside I was AMAZED!
BUT the black dress and 2 black tops- fit me SOO well and I got into this navy summer dress..I must have spent $65..and kept thinking..Wait till I wear this in Vegas or Guadalupe! (June trip) I had SUCH an adrenaline RUSH!! Of course I wanted to be wearing the size 10s!! LOL
Have a great day
Hugs

Topic: RE: This damn hair
Hi Kristin!
I have this one spot, right in front that keeps falling out and it looks like it's broken off at the bangs! I hate it b/c it's shorter than the other half of my bangs and won't even fit in a curling iron! It really bugs me but I can hide it well. So to answer your question, YES my hair still falls out!

Topic: This damn hair
Hello all.. Just wondering if anyone else still has hair falling out? The whole right side of my head is super thin and the other is nice. I have to keep wearing my hair back at work because I hate it. I get all water, protein in. I've lost 114 and in size 4's and goal weight of 140 lbs. I don't understand. Is anyone else going through this? Thanks!
Kristin
Topic: RE: I broke my plateau finally!
Hey Lori- Congratulations on breaking your plateau!
Butt- let me see if I got this right- you are gonna send us pics of your butt so we can compare sizes? LMAO literally.
Sista, you are not J.Lo, OK? Size 6 is small!! My friend Janean went from sze 24 t 6 , right before my eyes. SHe is 5-3 and 129 and I keep telling her how tiny and small she is. Like her- you just forgot what a BIG ass really is!
You guys just don't feel my pain anymore!! You have been so busy with things- you know there are still people on this board trying to break into Onederland?? ..so a little sympathy please! AND STOP complaining about your Butt size-or I will kick it around like a soccer ball for ya!
Things with me- I spent 3 hrs in the gym working out yesterday and Im paying 2day
I back pressed 180lbs (2x 15) , swivel side pressed 80lbs (2x) ; leg pressed 80lbs (3x)
boxed 30mins; barbells & stability ball- 30 mins; treadmill 25mins; stairmaster (used with handweights) 22mins; abs machine: 340 (front & sides) . I went from 210 yesterday to 208 . I was 205..its the same 3lbs up and down.. NOW I know you heard that before.. LOL
Hope all is going well

Topic: RE: Lower abdomon pain?
Hi Debbi, I wholeheartedly agree with Donna'a post! I would get to the Dr. ASAP if your symptoms continue. My girlfriend, who has also had WLS, had severe gas-like pains in her lower abdomen two weeks ago while out to visit me. She wrote the pains off as gas for a couple of days. After two more days of excruciating pain, a package of Gas-X, and an expectorant, she took her butt to the ER in the city where she works. Turns out she had a partial obstruction in her intestine. Left untreated, this could lead to severe GI problems. I'm not trying to put a scare into you, but it's really best to have any pain lasting longer than reasonable checked out. Turns out my girlfriend spent 3 days in the hospital until they rehydrated her system, which helped to dissolve and pass the obstruction. I wish you the best of health.
